COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The first in our Purebred series of single hop A.P.A.s showcases the hop variety Citra. These are used for everything from bittering and flavor to aroma. The soft bitterness of the Citra hop makes this an extremely drinkable beer.

650ml brown bottle. Gold pour, crystal clear. Fat white cap that lasts a long time, good patchy lacework. Hoppy nose with citrus and light tropical notes. Taste has orange peel and grass and mild tropical sweet notes, malt character is rather neutral. Dry finish, quite clean, light lingering bitterness, a bit of grass and grapefruity hops lingering. Decent carbonation and light bodied. A good single hopped sessionable ale that features the Citra hops well.

Clear ’dark gold’ with not much in the way of foam on tap. Aroma is hop - tropical fruit, grapefruit. Soft cereal malt background. Bitterness is gentle. Relatively complex for a single hop. Drinkable as can be.

Keg at World of Beer Charlottesville, 10/15/14. Pours a clear yellow with a thin creamy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of citrus, candied citrus, tropical fruits, lime, lemongrass, pale malt. The taste is tropical, herbal, citrus hops, pale crackery malt. Medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness.

Bottle: Light golden-orange color with a large khaki head. Plenty of sheet lacing throughout. Nose is a light citrus and tropical fruit blend; modest caramel malt in the background. Similar translates to the flavor profile, but I found some earthy floral notes have crept in. Good citrus and nice use of the citra as the showcase. Easy drinker.

Citrusy aroma. Smokey aroma. Some floral. Clearaopearance. Golden colored. Thin head that receeds to a white ring around the glass. I get like hamburger in the smell. Citrusy flavor. Mild in the hoppiness department. Thin bodied. Abrupt finish. Taste a hint of tartness like grapefruit. Easy drinking beer i have to say.

Nice beer overall. A floral and very citric Ipa with a ton of lemony and grapefruit notes. Sweet caramel malts with light green hop notes and tons of grapefruit. The finish is bitter but reserved a bit with nice lingering hop resin and bitter notes.

Pours a clear amber with a large dull white head that leaves decent lace and lasts quite some time. Aroma is pine, tropical fruits, and some floral notes. Flavour is resin, pine, citrus, decent malty backbone, medium bitterness that lingers a little, and a malty sweetness in the mix. Pretty tasty brew.

Shoulda bought this a while ago. Light apricot gold with a large off white fluffy lid and slippery, foamy lacing. Just like the label says: grapefruit, peach and citrus as well as orange, slight dough. Tasty and not crazy in my face. Soothing malt with just the right amount of fruity bitterness. Watery sizzle grapefruit, citrus, peach and salivation. Another quality laughing dog brew.
