No wonder thereís a hop shortage. Brewed special for the OBF, Rocket Dog launches four types of hops at five different intervals into this brew. Roasted barley and rye, pale and Munich malts give this beer a red tint. Fermented a little on the dry side, this thirst-quencher is a hop loverís dream.

First gusher I've had that was an IPA. Odd. Pours cloudy yellow in color. Bitter, but not crazily so, and is balanced by a good rye backbone. Hop flavor is primarily pine. Little sweetness in malt. Overall good, once you get past the overcarbonation issues. B. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a hazy amber with an average but sticky white head that leaves tons of lace all the way up the glass. Aroma is fruity, citrus, and some sweet malts. Taste is a bit spicy, citrus, grass, medium bitterness, sweet grapefruit, and light malty sweetness.

Pours a hazy orangish copper with a frothy lacy white head. Aroma of citrus hops, candy, lime, pale malts and sweet fruity esthers. Taste is citrus, spicy rye malts, grapefruit and candy lemon lime. Nice smooth crisp bitterness throughout with moderate carbonation, excellent rye ipa.

Pours a golden amber with a little reddish tint. Aroma strong with rye and floral hops. The taste is more of the same sweetly spicy at the start followed immediately by strong floral notes finishing with a stinging sharp hop bite that leave a clean palate. A strange note of Banana appears in the end. Complex, but too much. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours deep golden with a fluffy, off-white head. Aroma of citrusy hops, plus a good amount of caramel and lightly roasted malts and some spiciness from the rye. Flavor the same. Average texture. A pretty good beer.

650ml brown bottle. Bottled on 2/27/13. Yellow pour with a hazy unfiltered appearance. Foamy white crown on top, very tight bubbles and lots of lacing. Nose has bright citrus and floral notes, zesty, some candied notes. Taste has some spicy rye grain notes, some tropical notes and grapefruit and some orange zest. Finishes with big grapefruity bitterness and ends up quite dry. Body is light to medium, nice carbonation, easy mouthfeel. Drinks easily, nice hop and rye grain notes.

beer 2 of 5 from the "I Had to Not use Hot Water for 4 Months to Afford Beer" Review tour. Iíve already drank half the bottle in about 10 mins. 15 mins later Iím yawning and blinking long. Light and hazy, wondeeful lacing. Exciting aroma - funky, sweet candy, lemon lime, fizzy grapefruit, very sweet orange, pine, decent base. Tastes good enough NOT to review. Iíd rather just enjoy this. Orange, sweet grapefruit, rye yumminess, pine in and out, the funk has been replaced by melon and tropical things, caramel, lots of carbonation, tons of bitterness, excellent. Love these Laughing Dog IPAís. something in here reminds me of some of the Alley Kat Dragon ipaís. Perfect IPA? Probably not but this is my kind of shit.
