No wonder there’s a hop shortage. Brewed special for the OBF, Rocket Dog launches four types of hops at five different intervals into this brew. Roasted barley and rye, pale and Munich malts give this beer a red tint. Fermented a little on the dry side, this thirst-quencher is a hop lover’s dream.

2/1//13. Bottle. I am worried that this bottle may have been infected. It exploded some when opened and smelled/tasted almost of brett. May rerate. &&Pours a sort of off-orange with a fluffy and firm white head. Aroma is fruit, pine, floral, spicy, some funk. Taste is a bit more unexpected; spicy, earthy, pine, grass, resin, some funk. Medium carbonation. Some lacing. Crisp but chewy mouthfeel. Didn’t love it; didn’t hate it. The funky elements were turn-off here. Again, may have been a bad bottle and I may need to rerate.

"This beer would have some serious potential fresh. Not sure of the age on my bottle, but you could tell it had sat for at least a little while. Pine peeeent but more muted than expected. Spicy and malty sweet, chewy body. Bittersweet spicy finish."

Savannah, Ga - Habersham Beverage Warehouse - Abercorn - 22 oz bomber. Pours a slightly murky dark orange with an overabundant foamy white head - some quality problems it seems. Light spruce notes in the aroma, a touch of rye-like mint. Flavor s decent with some light citrus bitterness, a touch or rye-like mintiness, just a touch of white grapes. Mouthfeel has a decent thickness to it, but the annoying pour knocks it down a point.

On tap at The Underground, pours a clear golden copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of citrus, with secondary notes of rye. Flavour brings out loads of resinous hops, loads of pine, and moderate rye. The rye isn’t overdone, with a very medium body. Very piney and delicious IPA.

Bottle. Pours fairly pale yellow with white head. Nose is grapefruit with rye spice. More grapefruit in the taste.

Bottle, golden pour with a slight cloudiness to it, minimal head about a fingers worth. Aroma, nice hop presence but not overpowering, some mild citrus notes a bit of pine and some sweet malt. Taste, bitter up front, smooth and not as dry as I was expecting, light grains and a nice malty sweet finish. Really like this, very well balanced, not really anything that overpowers, well done!

651 ml. bottle. Bottled 7/23/13. Pours a medium well retained off white head, with extensive Belgian lacing, over a slightly hazy, light fold (SRM 4) body....nose is light pine, resin, floral honey, hints of cereal....taste is moderately sweet, with light cocoa hints, light rye spice, stronger resin, pine, citrus hints, finishing with a moderate bitterness.....mouth feel, medium body, slight acid, carbonation adds light spritz.. This is a lighter IPA, with the rye not overly present, bitterness constrained, but all in all well balanced. It might be that this bottle is a bit too old. BJCP 8/3/14/4/6

Taste is very bready. It has a nice amount of hops. Light citrus aftertaste. This is an easy IPA to take down. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Very nice citrus aroma that mixes with some nice malt. Alcohol is a little too prominent in this one though, and takes away from overall taste. Finishes with medium bitterness. Pours clear orange without much head or lacing. On cask at Churckkey.
