COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
No wonder thereís a hop shortage. Brewed special for the OBF, Rocket Dog launches four types of hops at five different intervals into this brew. Roasted barley and rye, pale and Munich malts give this beer a red tint. Fermented a little on the dry side, this thirst-quencher is a hop loverís dream.

Wow, great surprise!! :+} Fabulous IPA!! Poured at a good temperature with a lovely, billowy, fluffy, foamy, frothy, thick, creamy off-white head that lasts a long time and good lacing. Color is a clear amber with one lazy bubble trail. Aroma is hop, citrus, resin, malt, fresh cut grass, spice. Flavorís similar to nose, but with a robust expression and the sweetness is perfectly complimented by the hop bitter which is citrus, resin, and clean. Body is excellent, full, zesty, yet a little chewy and perfect carbonation. Finish is like flavor, on the long side, and extremelly drinkable. Outstanding IPA.

A very very good beer. If you are an IPA fan then this beer is a must try. Fantastic on draft and still very good out if the bottle. Impressed with this beer.

Poured from the bomber. Aroma is citrus hopper. Iím detecting Bretomycies. The flavor backs that up, I do taste the hops and rye. But I swear there is Brett in here! Its delicious whether it is or not... Palate is nice, medium-full body and finishes oily. Really good! Really good lacing and head retention.

Bottle. Beautiful pour -- thickly topped with an airy head, this golden-orange beer has a nice visual appeal. The aroma is full of rich, rosy citrus. This drinks with a wicked grapefruit kick, with a gristy, grainy undertow. This is damn good. Woof! (#3961, 8/6/2010)

Mellow aroma with a smell of citrus especially orange. Seems like a lighter IPA with less hops bite. Finishes clean. A nice light. IPA

Rocket Dog. Interesting name. Pours a bright golden straw, with a nice amount of clarity. Itís lighter and more yellow than I was expecting, as I typically expect beers brewed with rye to be more red in color. Nice fizzy half inch head crowns the glass. Prodigious amount of hop aroma hits the nose first, with waves of grassy and spicy notes piercing the nostrils. First taste hints at the nice carbonation and a smooth bitterness that coats the palate. Taste is very hop forward, with a freshly mown grass character hitting the palate first. Grapefruit is up next, with some honey sweetness in the middle rounding things out thereís also a nice and sweet, almost like bell pepper, spiciness that finishes the beer. The rye takes a back seat in this beer, as it offers a solid pillar in the background. This beer is all about hops, and I can appreciate that in an IPA.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a large sized head of foamy with a frothy top fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a strong bubbly carbonation transparent yellow orange colored body and a very good lacing. The mild aroma was Brett and dough. The bubbly mouth feel was very tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering hoppy aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of citrus hops and bread dough. A wonderful best in class brew.

Wow this is refreshing and delicious. Light sweet and tasty but also has a tasty hop kick. If you want something not too strong this would be it.
