Poured from bottle to glass. Clear amber with white head that dissipated to a thin ring. Aroma is hops, citrus, pine, lemon, caramel, floral, honey. Mouthfeel is nice with moderately light body and decent carbonation. Taste is slightly sweet initially followed by a nice bitterness. Overall, this is a decent double IPA.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottled two days ago.
Cherry red ale with a finger of fleeting off-white foam. Smells astringent and sharp with an acetone, boozy, sweet and chemical nose. Not getting the hops I expect from Laughing Dog.
Taste is sweet and fruity/estery. Has a slight flavor similar to the nasty flavor I get from DFH hi gravity beers - sour artificial grape and paint thinner. Although more subtle and more tolerable in this beer than in the DFH. Thin with moderate carb.
I’m not satisfied with this one. Glad most of it gets shipped out of the area.

This is a pretty malty double IPA. Lots of biscuity malts, some honied sweetness, but mostly grapefruit and citrus hops.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Total Wines, Sterling VA. Deep amber with a big, tight, off-white head. Boozy nose, with a yeasty edge and plenty of sticky citrus. Very full in the mouth, with candy sugar, blood orange and red fruits, leading to a hoppy and warming finish. Enjoyable.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cloudy brown pour with medium head. Rich malty aroma. Tastes almost like toffee, pleasantly sweet and hops are not overwhelming, alcohol gives a nice fuzziness to the finish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
651 ml. bottle. Pours a thick, sea foam, well retained, ivory head, with extensive lacing, over a slightly hazy dark amber (SRM 15) body......nose is sweet malts with tones of toffee/caramel, floral honey, citrus peel, pine.....taste is lightly sweet with toffee/caramel tones, light floral honey notes, pine, grapefruit peel, leading to a soft lingering pine, grapefruit bitterness.....mouth feel medium, soft, slightly sticky, alcohol warmth present, carbonation low with a very light acid finish. As an I/DIPA this is somewhat low in pure hop bitterness, and the sweetness, I assume from the honey, is a bit high. The beer is really quite good, but for usual style standards, needs less sweetness and more brutal hop bitterness.
