COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sneaky Pete is a blend of five hop types: Simcoe, Glacier, Centennial, Vanguard and Hallertuaer, with Simcoe playing the dominate role at 30%. In addition, three separate malts were used: Honey Malt, Rye Malt, and Munich Malt. The brew has a copious aroma of white grapefruit, citrus overtones, a complex rich middle and long flavors in the finish; a real beauty. Finished with wild clover honey.

Appearance is a little dark but aroma is sweet. Complex malts overpower the hops. Palate is well balanced between the alcohol and the bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours hazy marmalade-orange w/ a palate that is full-bodied cooked marmalade. The balance hides its 10% ABV quite well. The aroma and the taste do not deliver much distinctive hop profile. Overall, this is for those DIPA drinkers who like a more malt than hop profile.

Deep copper color, head fades off quickly, slight lacing. Nicely done, boozy, double-boozy, strong, and wild. Lots of different ingredients, pretty fun beer!

As of late I can not find the time to take tasting notes of each beer I sample. I would like to track and record my thoughts of each so I will just use the simple scoring rubric until more time is available. Really funky

2011 backlog. 12oz bottle. Pours a hazy burnt orange with a half finger white head that left nice lacing. The nose is caramel, light citrus and faint pine. The taste is toffee, earthy hops, ripe citrus and a nice resin finish that lingers. Medium mouth feel. Tasty DIPA. 3.7

A good looking beer with a clear burnt caramel colour and a lasting thick well laced head. Aroma of malt and bread, with a hint of hops. An oily feel with a rich taste of malt, honey and hops. A very bitter finish with a hint of malt in the aftertaste.

Clear copper pour with minimal white head. Aroma is primarily grapefruit. Taste follows nose. Good stuff.

Bottle. Orange/plum malt and orange peel aroma. Brown with small head. Sweet prune/cherry malt and mildly bitter herbal orange peel flavor. Not extremely hoppy.

Bottle: Pours dark, hazy amber with a creamy tan head. Fruit, pine and biscuit aroma. Taste is really malty..sweet orange, pine and spicy rye.... Incredibly smooth for the ABV... Excellent.

I am a DIPA devotee, so I generally always try any Imperial I run across. Found this in Panama City Beach, FL, bought a 4-pack, drank my first And may be my last. As suggested in other reviews, This is piney, which I like, but the malting was overdone For my palate.

Dark red orange color. Dark pine and citrus aroma. Big rye bite, resinous pine, honey, biscuit. Pretty malty for an IPA, as it has more rye bite than hop bite, but the resin and aroma are there. Touch of sweetness balanced by the very dry rye.
