Sneaky Pete is a blend of five hop types: Simcoe, Glacier, Centennial, Vanguard and Hallertuaer, with Simcoe playing the dominate role at 30%. In addition, three separate malts were used: Honey Malt, Rye Malt, and Munich Malt. The brew has a copious aroma of white grapefruit, citrus overtones, a complex rich middle and long flavors in the finish; a real beauty. Finished with wild clover honey.

On tap @ the brewpub, the first stop on TvMs Bachelor Party Northwest Ale Trail Expedition. Light orange, average white head. Big aroma of candyish ripe tropical fruits, hints of Swedish Berries. Sweet palate, with loads of oily hoppy goodness, mango, papaya, ending with an intense bitterness, boozy undertones.

Burnt orange in color with frothy off-white head and lacing. Pine, resin, some hop spice, thick/sticky mouthfeel, some grapefruit. Decent. Strong.

Laughing Dog Sneaky Pete Imperial IPA has a thin, white head, a semi-clear, orange-gold appearance, and almost no lacing left behind. The aroma is of strong, caramel, and flowers (nectar). Taste is of white bread, bread crust, sweetness, high (yet, not harsh) bitterness, and hop oils. Mouthfeel is medium, and Laughing Dog Sneaky Pete Imperial IPA finishes on the dry side and drinkable (for a 10% ale). RJT

Aroma: Interesting. Baked apples, orange, molasses, Slight boozy smell. Appearance: Opaque, cloudy orange. Looks like unfiltered apple cider. Thin. Gorgeous, thick, creamy, coffee colored, two-finger head that disappeared slowly. Thick lacing. Taste: Bitter hops, sweet finish. Earthy. Slight tinge of alcohol in the front. Complex. Maybe some pine. Palate: Dry, bitter. Overall: I poured this 12 oz. bottle into a glass in which I like to drink beer. From aroma to taste, this is an interesting beer. I could not quite identify whether I liked this beer or not. I change my mind after each drink - its not good, then its wonderfully different. I would love to taste this on tap. RateBeer member nj_BierMaven probably summed up my indecision best, "Sweet malty almost like a Scoth Ale", without the booze. #respectbeerbrethren

12 oz bottle from Total Wine & More - Gilbert, AZ. Orange and clear appearance with a white head and thick lacing. Aroma of herbal/floral hops, pine, light citrus, light toffee/caramel malts, resin and some off notes.. Heavily bitter with medium sweetness. Medium body with ample carbonation. Just OK for a IIPA.

Bottle dated 3/13, so 20 months old. Hop profile has been lost. Cloudy amber in tulip glass, no significant head. Sweet malty almost like a Scoth Ale. Need to find a fresh example. Still enjoyable if you like sweet strong and malty.

A darker maltier IPA. The spicy rye malt and sweetness of the honey dance around each other to citrus and pine hop notes. Very unique.

Dark brown, opaque with a brownish head. Very complex aroma of citrus, ripe yellow fruit, light caramel, cereal and some pines.Very well balanced IIPA, just a little bitter with nice residual sugar to top it. Lively carbonation, a little thin, astringent and a nice, long, smooth finish. Personally, more of an american BW, but still a really great brew!
