COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sneaky Pete is a blend of five hop types: Simcoe, Glacier, Centennial, Vanguard and Hallertuaer, with Simcoe playing the dominate role at 30%. In addition, three separate malts were used: Honey Malt, Rye Malt, and Munich Malt. The brew has a copious aroma of white grapefruit, citrus overtones, a complex rich middle and long flavors in the finish; a real beauty. Finished with wild clover honey.

Aroma is straight up malt. It smells like a malt/honey bomb. There are some hops coming through but it just mostly smells rich and malty. The taste is mostly the same, rich, thick malty, some good hop flavor but not much bitterness. I’m shocked that this is 10%. I drank half the bottle before noticing the abv. It’s really easy to drink but I wouldn’t consider it session-able because it’s so rich.

A good looking beer with a clear burnt caramel colour and a lasting thick well laced head. Aroma of malt and bread, with a hint of hops. An oily feel with a rich taste of malt, honey and hops. A very bitter finish with a hint of malt in the aftertaste.

Bottle. Orange/plum malt and orange peel aroma. Brown with small head. Sweet prune/cherry malt and mildly bitter herbal orange peel flavor. Not extremely hoppy.

Bottle: Pours dark, hazy amber with a creamy tan head. Fruit, pine and biscuit aroma. Taste is really malty..sweet orange, pine and spicy rye.... Incredibly smooth for the ABV... Excellent.

I am a DIPA devotee, so I generally always try any Imperial I run across. Found this in Panama City Beach, FL, bought a 4-pack, drank my first And may be my last. As suggested in other reviews, This is piney, which I like, but the malting was overdone For my palate.

Dark red orange color. Dark pine and citrus aroma. Big rye bite, resinous pine, honey, biscuit. Pretty malty for an IPA, as it has more rye bite than hop bite, but the resin and aroma are there. Touch of sweetness balanced by the very dry rye.

I knew from the first smell of this beer that it wasn’t gonna quite agree with me. Thankfully I only picked up a four-pack of it. If you’re into the more malty, sweeter and bready double IPAs, then this guy is for you. But if you’re like me that appreciates the full-on hop assault, then this one doesn’t quite fit. Sneaky Pete pours a dark amber color with a modest tan head. The head leaves some nice, sticky lacing around the inside of the glass. As mentioned, the nose is sweet and malty, with some hints of grassy and floral hops. The body is really full and sweet, with lots of caramel and bready malts. There is quite a bit of hops in this beer, but they’re overpowered and shoved off to the side.

Aroma of tropical fruit and pine with hints of resin. A cloudy copper pour with a white ring and minimal lacing. The palate is fruity, with notes of biscuit malts and a strong hoppy bitter finish. Alcohol is well hidden.Medium body and crisp carbonation. Overall, another enjoyable IPA.

Aroma is subdued sweet hops. Appearance in off-putfing murky brown but the very nice lingering carbonation makes up for it. Palate is rich. Taste is very complex with many different flavors to draw out.

Amber b0died with a tall beige head, this left rings 0f lace that measured the size 0f each swig fr0m the glass. The ar0ma was a pungent zest f0ll0wed by s0me citrus juices. It tasted quite malty, n0t very bitter in the middle but finished strnger and had an hit 0f alc0h0l. Just 0kay.
