COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sneaky Pete is a blend of five hop types: Simcoe, Glacier, Centennial, Vanguard and Hallertuaer, with Simcoe playing the dominate role at 30%. In addition, three separate malts were used: Honey Malt, Rye Malt, and Munich Malt. The brew has a copious aroma of white grapefruit, citrus overtones, a complex rich middle and long flavors in the finish; a real beauty. Finished with wild clover honey.

Dark amber color with a minimal off-white ring of a head and thick oily lacing. Aroma is not what I was expecting- sweet molasses, fruity vinous notes, and caramel. Flavor has deep malts and a sneaky bitter bite at the end. Just a hint of sweetness. This beer was such a surprise, don’t think I’ve had anything like it before

Bottle pour. Cloudy golden with an off white head. Citrus and pine aroma. Thick creamy body. Light hop taste, mostly grassy with some alcohol taste.

12 oz bottle from Total Wine & More - Gilbert, AZ. Orange and clear appearance with a white head and thick lacing. Aroma of herbal/floral hops, pine, light citrus, light toffee/caramel malts, resin and some off notes.. Heavily bitter with medium sweetness. Medium body with ample carbonation. Just OK for a IIPA.

Bottle dated 3/13, so 20 months old. Hop profile has been lost. Cloudy amber in tulip glass, no significant head. Sweet malty almost like a Scoth Ale. Need to find a fresh example. Still enjoyable if you like sweet strong and malty.

A darker maltier IPA. The spicy rye malt and sweetness of the honey dance around each other to citrus and pine hop notes. Very unique.

Dark brown, opaque with a brownish head. Very complex aroma of citrus, ripe yellow fruit, light caramel, cereal and some pines.Very well balanced IIPA, just a little bitter with nice residual sugar to top it. Lively carbonation, a little thin, astringent and a nice, long, smooth finish. Personally, more of an american BW, but still a really great brew!

12 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter. Pours a hazy amber with a big white head of thick foam. Good retention. The aroma is like sticky sweet rosemary and parsley. The taste is a bit cardboard-ish with notes of honey and english toffee. Dry and bitter toward the finish. Big body and medium carbonation.

12 oz bottle. Bottled on 6/25/14. At the Dobra Zupas, Beckley, WV. Cloudy amber colour with a tiny off-white head. The aroma is surprisingly mild... some floral hops, mild bitterness, sweetness and malt. The flavour hits the bank. Strong bitterness, sweet fruity, piney and resiny hops, sweetish maltiness and some alcohol warmth. Very tasty. All the 10% are very craftily hidden. And gotta love the label. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

damn Lou...another winner! Wonderful bittersweet flavor with a slightly sticky body. Aroma was nice as well, though not as awesome as the flavor. tropical fruit(pineapple, peach), slight honey on the back end, bitter lingering finish. This beer would maybe be too bitter w/o the sweet, and vice-versa, but as it is - VERY nice! And at 10%, it kicked my butt quite nicely."

From notes. Tasted on 6/30/12 at the 1st Annual Chimipalooza, from bottle. Pours clear dark amber with an average white head that leaves a thin collar of lace. The nose is vegetal green hops with some caramel malt. The flavor is sweeter malt than I expected, with the same vegetal green hops that have a some nice bitterness. The body is medium with average carbonation and a long lightly bitter vegetal hops finish.
