Opaque black stout, low carbonation. A mildly roasty malt start. Quite a soft palate. Complex medley of coffee, cherry and licoricey alcohol. Very drinkable but the not the subtlest of Impys.

Tap at Pizzeria Paradiso. Reddish black with a large deep tan head that settles slowly to leave a huge amount of delicate lacing. Unusually hoppy and bitter, slightly out of balance with the dark malty side. Dry finish.
