bomber from Total Wine. Nice thick pour with a delightful brown head. Roasty hops and chocolate goodness prevail with every sip. Go for it

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a very thick black with a nice cappuccino head. Lots of chocolate in the nose with notes of espresso, cocoa, brownies, and fudge. The taste is much like the nose. Rich chocolatey malt with light sweetness and a long bitter finish. Very smooth with a creamy mouthfeel. This is great.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle from10/12, just over a year old.
Smells very sweet, bourbon, chocolate, vanilla, malt. Very nice. Thereís something hard to pick out, maybe some dark dried fruit, some cereal...something!
Tastes the same! Chocolate, malt, bourbon, and something indescribably sweet. Some coffee. The sweetness comes out more as it warms. Could just be like candied bourbon. Very smooth, very good.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
An interesting interpretation of this style. Like most other strong stouts it has a full body, dark color and thick lacing. The aroma has a mixture of coffee with some decidedly resin like pine as well. Flavor has some coffee and chocolate like most stouts but it also has a significant hop profile. The notes of piney resin that was apparent on the nose comes out even more on the taste which linger quite bitterly. It almost seems in the end that the malts and hops are trying to battle each other out for your taste buds, which certainly makes an interesting, if not a rather unbalanced beer. Aftertaste has some oak barrel flavors coming through as well. Overall, if you like a somewhat crazy american style stout with everything but the kitchen sink thrown in, I would recommend this.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Opaque brown pour, light tan head, the last of which lingers nicely. Strong smooth aroma, complex -- thereís the coffee-chocolate maltiness, but thereís an underlying spicy aroma behind it that I canít place, but really like. The flavor shows off all the aroma, with good body and lengthly finish, but not quite the pop of the aroma. I really like it though.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber bottle. The aroma is of straight dark malt. Also smells pretty dry. The appearance is black with light showing through around the edges, and a tan head. The taste is very dry dark malt and finishes very earthy. The palate is a little unsettling because of the dry, earthy ending. Overall, this is a decent stout. I am interested in trying the barrel aged bomber I have in da cellar.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours pitch black with a hint or two of red with a thick foamy 1 inch caramel colored head that slowly recedes leaving a ton of lacing. Smells of deep roasted malts dominated the aromas from chocolate and coffee. First sip is full of almost burnt malts, chocolate, and finishes with a lovely coffee bitterness. Surprisingly light bodied for the style but not too light for my enjoyment. It is pretty well carbonated even with the light malt backbone. As it warms, some dark fruits appear adding complexity to this fairly straight forward imperial stout that is not over done by excessive coffee.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
I must have gotten a skunked bottle or something, because this brew tasted very bad. It had the roasted malts that you would expect, but it was completely overwhelmed by a strange, sour flavor. I was very disappointed to say the least.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Interesting brew over all, clean Palate for such a high abv which was nice. Not too thick but heavy enough to be consistent . Smoky overall well done

Hoppy dark IS. Gave me a funny buzz and confusion as to what all was in here. That was it.
