anders37 (2834), Malmö, Sweden Nov 29, 2008 Draft @ Philadelphias Steaks and Hoagies Brewpub, Portland, OR. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small white head. Has a slightly sweetish malty hoppy citrus aroma. Malty hoppy bitter flavor with some nice hints of grapefruit. Has a malty hoppy bitter finish. darn1207 (344), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Sep 26, 2008 tap. sampler from Laurelwood Public House in Portland. hazy orange pour. earthy citrus hop aroma. dry and crisp. light caramel and resiny hops. well balanced and ok overall. stchloe (253), Portland, Oregon, USA Sep 26, 2008 Great kick, especially to drink in the airport. Very decent ABV for a single IPA. Hops variety is key. kenb (959), Oregon, USA Sep 14, 2008 12 oz bottle via Liquid SOl. Pours a NEAR CLEAR DARK AMBER WITH A LARGE chunky HEAD THAT LEAVES A loT OF spider webbing. Nose is herbal, floral and a bit alcoholic. Taste is grainy with lots of earthy hoppiness and seems more like an English or East Coast IPA. Less Fuggles and AHtanum hops, less Crystal more....and pump up the Centennials and this would be good...Not what i enjoy or expect from a Pac NW IPA... Body is light, carbonation moderate to high. lb4lb (1546), Austin, Texas, USA Sep 10, 2008 Pours a glowing semi-unfiltered orange with a cream colored head. Smell is mostly iced tea and some metal. Taste is tart maltiness and dirty, earthy, tea and floral like hop flavor. Just don’t care for the tea flavored hops in beers and this is chock full of them. Decent body and mouthfeel, but wasn’t crazy about the beer as it was all tea.
