COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Copious quantities of hops and an assertive alcohol content are the foundation of our best-selling beer. Crystal malts and a blend of Yakima grown Fuggles, Centennial, Cascade, and Ahtanum hops impart a very satisfying balance. This ale is late-hopped in the hop back for added flavor and aroma.

Nothing outrageous, but a pretty classic west coast IPA. Very drinkable with a solid dose of hops in the finish.

Tap@Laurelwood. Pretty bitter isthought. Theres obviously the sweet lychee, pine, but the citric orange rind bitterness, gives it decent balance, pretty OK with me.

UPDATED: DEC 26, 2006 2004 draught. Copper with some dark orange tinges, lightly hazy and little to no head. Aroma of fresh fruity hops (berries, bitter juice and some lime and mango) Interestingly unique aroma. Some tasty crystal malt starts it off, with a good dose of hops and even some alcohol notes. MMM fuggles! Well, it’s got a touch of astringency, but the crystal malt holds up pretty well. More floral and spicy notes with some soily fruity notes on the end. I really like this one a lot (though I dont like crystal malt orfuggles). It had a good medium body and moderate carbonation. Perhaps the alcohol could be toned down and there is a lot of honey sweetness in the middle.

A dark orange apperance with a moderate head. The aroma is rather floral with some oranges and other citrus fruit showing through. The flavor is somewhat biter with more oranges and some lemons detected. The aftertaste is bitter with a hint of sourness. This works for me.

Bottle: Orange hued golden, somewhat dull, minor haze, large foamy off-white head, nice lacing.   Musty hop nose, very slight citrus rind, a bit of graininess.   Pale hop bitterness on the tongue, musty, basement like, with bits of earthiness.   Minor husk flavors.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Lingering huskiness, bitterness fades pretty quickly.   Decent, but almost more of a Pale Ale mixed with an Amber Ale.

Piny and citrusy nose with signature cascade notes. Very clean and soft beer that seems much smaller than it actually is. A touch of sweetness and fruit forward malt are overly balanced with the clean and underwhelming dryhopping. Soft and clean finish with a little hint of copper penny from the Cascade.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange color with a small off white head. Aroma of pine, citrus, and caramel. Taste is slightly bitter from the hops and a little malty with a bit of caramel on the back of the tongue. Has a semi sweet finish. Has a decent balance of flavor. Not a bad beer at all.

Golden orange color. Herbal perfumey hop aroma. Earthy bitterness in the flavor with some nice caramel malts that balance it out. Rather chewy and resiny with a dry finish. A good find at the Portland Airport!

Copper colour. Bright. Lightly woody hop aroma. The flavour is of chewy hop bitterness with wood and caramel accents.
