3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bitter and bracing double from this Oregon brewery. Amber in color with small beige head. Hops kick in immediately, sharp and biting. Everything expected from a double.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
2009 on Draft. Aroma: Fresh, floral hops with light fresh pine, touch of orange malt
Palate: Great balance
Flavor: Medium-rich orange malt followed by dried orange and medium pine. Finishes with lingering dried orange bitter spice, white pepper, light pine.
Comments: Not overblown. I could order a 2nd one; would work very well with food.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Smells lightly of caramel malt and more so of the resinous and citrus hop aromas. Copper golden color with some haziness and a long standing frothy off white head. Taste is medium resin hop bitterness followed by the medium-light caramel malt sweetness. Medium mouthfeel, bitterness on attack, balance in middle and hops persisting in fairly lengthy and dry finish. Moderate carbonation and a sticky yet creamy texture. Another great beer from Laurelwood. Plus itís organic...yeah! Too bad itís seasonal!

Big Hops aroma, floral and fruity nice malt flavor mixed with the grapefruit and clove. This was a very tasty IPA. They do a great job here at Laurelwood Brewing.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
2010-07-04. Crisp golden dark amber body, modest beige head and light lace. 3+ Huge leafy, weedy green hop aroma, vegetation dominates. 6+ Flavour is similarly green and leafy, mild citrus is lightly astringent, lemon seed like in the finish. 6+ Smooth average palate. Decent, heavy on the leafy character, which I donít love. On tap at Seattle International Beer Festival

[3108-20100704] Sample. Fresh oranges and hints of evergreen needles in the aroma. Clear, medium orange body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. Grainy bitter orange evergreen flavour. Medium-full bitter body. Rough but good, tasty and quite bitter.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, shared with Parksy. Pours a nice hazy orange with a creamsicle cap, good lace. Very fruit-hoppy nose and palate, lots of fresh citrus and tropical fruit, juicy and fresh. Perfect malt balance. A perfect NW-style IPA. Awesome!

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sampled on tap at SIB, pours hazy golden orange. Aroma of hops and caramel malt. Flavour is more malty than the average IPA, with an obvious hop dominance. Not bad.
