Green Elephant is green because itís made from organic malts, and elephant because of the Amarillo, Ahtanum and organic Cascade hops. Itís medium-bodied with a subtle malt underpining and an explosive hop flavor and bitterness. Dang, the elephant is hoppy.

Have had this on many an occasion yet havenít rated it, so here goes... Colour... copper-amber with thick head. Nose... sweetly hoppy with hints towards the grapefruit side. Palate... my! This is the hoppy-est elephant Iíve ever met! And elephants arenít known for their hop! Very sweet, though not quite cloying, coating nonetheless with plenty of grapefruit skin and pith. Always a treat when this comes íround! Thank goodness Iím only eight blocks from the Laurelwood, "mothership"!

Thanks to Juiceisloose for the bomber. Hazy light amber pour with a thick off white head. Pine, citrus, caramel malt and slightly rough hop aroma, nice and floral. Smooth caramel malt body with a nice citrus hop taste. A little thin but tasty.

Bottle:   Dirty golden, sediment floats about, large rocky off-white head, patchy lacing, light carbonation.   Earthy hop aromas, a little soily.   Very earthy on the tongue, minor hop presense, a bit malty, slightly grainy, well balanced, and if you like earthy and/or organic like beers, this one is for you.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Has a bit of sweetness on the finish, more hop based bitterness versus being earthy.   Donít get me wrong, it still feels soily and earthy on the finish.   Very organic, but also very enjoyable.

A really good IPA. Pours golden orange with a decent white head. The aroma is heavy on Amarillo and Cascade hops. The flavor is mostly tasty hops, pine and citrus. Excellent example of a West Coast IPA.

From a 22 oz bottle this poured a nice rich amber with a fairly fat off-white head and good lacing. Aromas of various hops, floral, pine, and citrus make this a delight for nose. Mouthfeel smooth and a bit oily. Favor is well balanced between malts and hops and there is a nice bitter finish. A very good IPA.

22oz bottle. Poured a medium and cloudy amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of floral hops, some citrus, and pine. Tastes of citrus, earthiness, floral, and some maltiness. Light to medium bitter with a lighter sweetness. Light lacing left on the glass.

Don’t really have much to add here except that I was shocked to find myself enjoying an organic beer this much. Very piney and smooth on the way down, I could drink a whole bunch of these in one sitting. If only all organics were created equal...

Solid aroma of pine needles, oranges and malt. Pours a cloudy amber color with a thin white head. Good flavor of piney, citrusy hops with a competent malt back-bone and some bitterness in the end. The body is light to medium with an oily texture and gentle carbonation. This is a very pleasant IPA.

22 oz bottle via Liquid SOl. Pours a clear reddish amber with a large beige head. Nose is subdued but a nice floral/citrus aroma. The taste has a very nice hop profile..a perfect balance between grapefruit, orange, pepper, and a little earthiness with just the right amount of hoppiness carrying through. Carbonation is just right, body is perfect. Damned good beer.
