COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Green Elephant is green because itís made from organic malts, and elephant because of the Amarillo, Ahtanum and organic Cascade hops. Itís medium-bodied with a subtle malt underpining and an explosive hop flavor and bitterness. Dang, the elephant is hoppy.

22 oz bottle from New Seasons - Seasonal. Big Hoppy Beer. Hops kind of mask everything else, but very nice. Iíd get it in a keg (if it were available), but itís not for the masses.

Aroma of a citrus salad, flowery, not harsh; a little pine, some caramel. Flavor-wise, the hops a bit more assertive, citus focus on bitter, enough malt to keep it from going harsh.

Bottle. Dark amber. Frothy head. Citrus and wood in the aroma. Flavour starts citrus then the wood kicks in. Aggressive hop profile. Relatively clean finish.

Pours a slightly cloudy copper, rich head with some retention. Incredibly floral aroma that also presents caramel, soy, and curry spice. Dry and leafy, noticeable hop spiciness, and the finish lingers about with just the right amount of hop bitterness. The best Northwest IPA Iíve had in ages, many thanks to the Beerman at Whole Foods in Portland, OR, who told me I had to buy it!

Bomber. My expectations on this were beat! Well balanced, and well hopped up this is definitely one of the better "Organic" brews Iíve encountered. Fruity malts combine with a mature hop palate mid to finish. Medium bodied. Goodness!

22. Thanks, Skoi! Your hospitality is both surprising and overwhelming. :-)
This beer is one of those little gems that comes out of nowhere. Maybe itís just the perfect match for a certain palate or maybe itís a bit underrecognized--either way, this is a kickin IPA. I hope they can broaden their distro to include a regular stop somewhere in Seattle.
Pours a nice ruddy orangeish medium amber with a thick, though brief, little creamy tan head. Nice peach and especially mango nose. Just a fruit-forward delight; really smells like there could be fruit flesh in the glass. Creamy medium body, active carb. Very sessionable body. Caramelly biscuit mid-palate, but that pales in comparison to the lovely peach and mango hop payload. Not the fruitiest or sweetest IPA around, but refreshing and flavorful and very drinkable. Tidy little resin grace note for a finish. Great stuff.

22 oz bottle from BottleTrek.com. This is a great PNW ipa, you will never know that it is organic. Pours amber, airy head and tons-o-lacing. Aroma and flavor of big citrus hoppiness, floral and the grapefruit explodes in your mouth. Niclely balanced with a lingering bitter finish. This one surprised me, I have not had good experiences with organics, but this is a must try.

Sampled on tap while visiting the Belmont Station during the American Breweriana Association Annual Meeting (ABA) in Portland, Oregon. Pours a hazy orange-ish amber brew with a decent off-white head that slowly dissolves to a fine film. Aroma of tart grapefruits, piney herbs, and a touch of caramel malt. Taste is lightly carbonated, medium bodied with a dry grapefruit flavor. The hop flavor overpowers the malt flavors. Finish is dry, a little rough with a lingering bitter aftertaste. This one will keep the hopheads happy.

Bright orange-copper-tawny ideal IPA hue with medium white head. Floral piquant nose with bitter and sweet notes. Finishing bitterness did not strip palate of taste buds. Yummy beer, quite pleasant and quaffable.

Tap at Bier Cafe: Hazy amber, small beige head. Piney hop nose. Piney lasting hop profile, well balanced. Has great Belgian lace and decent body
