This beer came across as way too sweet and with too much fruit, both on the nose and the taste. A little watery, and completely forgettable.

Sample from firkin at the 6th Annual Rogue Firkin Fest at Green Dragon. The beer is a reddish-brown color with a medium light beige head that dissipates slowly. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, chocolate and hops. Light-bodied with flavors of chocolate malt, nuts and a bit of citrusy hops. The finish is sweet with a roasty malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

On tap @ brewpub, airport location. Deep russet brown, thick off-white head. Aroma is nicely toasty bready malt. Malty, bready flavours with an earthy bitter finish. Despite the description, there is more than a hint of hops here. Very nice.

Draught at the Brewpub. Orange-brown color. Light fruit in the nose, mostly soft caramel. Malty flavor of chocolate-cocoa, caramel, nuts. Nice earthy hop finish.

This brow is a tad more bitter than expected. The taste is more appealing than the palate considering the lingering nutty aftertaste. Overall a good brown and brewed well. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle:   Not very dark for a Brown Ale, moreso a dark caramel, and even that is a stretch.   Moderate to large frothy tannish head, spotty lacing.   Also hazy with defnite chunks floating about.   Pale roasted malts, seems more toasty.   Faint caramel and biscuit.   Smooth on the tongue.   Almost seems like an Amber Brown or sorts.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Backside shows a very shallow hop aspect and minor nuttiness.   I was thinking this was going to be bigger, but regardless its still enjoyable.   Very soft and easy to drink.

Pours a cloudy nutty brown with frothy tan head. Aroma is nutty almond, caramel, bread and subtle notes of raisin. Flavor is a mix of subtle chocolate, hazelnut, hay and floral tones. Body is creamy yet light with active carbonation.

Sample from bomber. Light reddish brown with off-white head. Lightly toasted bread, caramel malt, grassy hops, and some light nuts. Pretty boring.
