(22oz bottle) Pours a hazy orange body with a tall dense rocky root beer float-like off-white head. Aroma of florals, caramel, biscuit, and orange. Flavor of orange, caramel, apricot, and bread with a moderately bitter finish. Nice balance of hops and malt.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 bhensonb (7592) - Woodland, California, USA - MAY 22, 2009
Bomber from Bottle Trek. Pours orange gold with a decent white head and fine bubbles. Lots of floral hop aroma. Medium body with nice carbonation. Flavor is a light caramel backbone overtopped by lots of floral, and I think citrus, hop. Enough hop to create a mild burning sensation. Really hoppy finish. Just excellent.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 3fourths (6409) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - APR 27, 2009
UPDATED: APR 29, 2009 Fresh bottle.
Appearance: Hazed burnt peach.
Nose: First whiff is cream and butter, some buttered orange and lactic, moldy melon, moderately spicy/spritzy/zesty but overall an unremarkable nose for an IPA.
Body: Medium to full frothiness. Holds up well throughout the drink and across the palate.
Flavor: Mild overall, notes of creamed oranges, dried apricots, dried pears, very mellow and mild, unnecessarily understated. Medium bitterness, dirty and minerally finish. Unremarkable overall.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 jerc (5591) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 9, 2010
2010-06-26. Crisp golden yellow, with a nice off-white head and lace. 3+ Hoppy grapefruit and lemon citrus in the aroma. 7+ Flavour has a good amount of bitterness, grapefruit seeds, but not astringent, touches of lemon, pale mat. 7+ Average palate is just a hair light, but almost seems to suit it somehow. On Tap at Laurelwood NW Public House, Portland.

22. Pours a hazy bronzed medium amber with a dense and sudsy off-white head that sticks around a bit, leaving a fair sheet of lacing down the sides of the glass. Doesn’t smell like much, especially for a beer with "Hop" as the first word in its name and "citrusy hop aroma" in its marketing badge. There’s some orange and lemon there, but they’re quite subdued. Or the beer might be ridiculously cold, maybe. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Toast, caramel, biscuit, and orange on the mid palate, with some pine resin rounding out the finish. Very approachable and a satisfying drinker; with big hop aromatics it would really start landing some body blows.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 mabel (4405) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 13, 2010
[2973-20100626] Tap. Citrus hops aroma. Clear, medium orange body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head and some lacing. Bitter orange juice flavour has lemon pip notes. Medium body. Not as hoppy as anticipated.
Overheard: "I think you’re broken."

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 5000 (4113) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - JAN 15, 2011
Bottle:   Vibrant amber, light carbonation, large frothy white head, a few spots of lacing.   Sweet malty nose, mildly hoppy, faint honey.   Similar on the tongue, yet softer.   Comes across as more of an American Pale without being overly hoppy, with a sweeter malt base.   Clean, slight earthiness or soil.   Very pleasant.   Minor citrus zest on the backside.   Smooth, a little bubbley.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Lingering earthen malts, pale citrus zest, and musty hay.   Not have bad, but seems more like ¾ IPA.
