Nov 19, 2007 Tap at Belmont Station: Pours light clear yellow color with thin white head. Very cerealy nose with a hint of floral hops. Flavor is surprisingly lager like with tons of fresh grain and bready flavor, tastes just like a pilsner or a golden. Very light hop bitterness with a little bit more hop flavor at the end which is the only part where i get any notes of this being an english bitter, just the slight smooth floral english hop note right at the end.

Nov 19, 2007 On tap at the PDX Green Dragon. Pours gold with a soft white head. Very hoppy brew. I think this is what De Ranke XX Bitter would taste like if they fermented with a non-Belgian yeast strain, (hint, please try this recipe with a Belgian yeast strain :) ). Grassy hops meld with a honey and bready malt flavor. Very nice brew.
