2010-06-26. Crisp dark yellow with a small foamy white head and lace. 3+ Flavour has more going on than expected, mild but has pleasant fruity notes, pale malts, very light bitterness throughout grows slightly as you go on. 5+ Mild aroma, light florals, citrus, lemon? 6+ Average palate. Mild but just enough to it to be interesting still, better than expected. On Tap at Laurelwood NW Public House, Portland.

Strawberry blond with a feint head. Mild, honeyed nose decorated with a light graininess. The body was characterized by a mild graininess and a muted hop quality. An inoffensive golden ale.

Sampler tray at Pizza Company. Poured a light yellow-orange with a moderate eggshell white head. Aroma a decent mixture of crystal malt and piney hops. Flavor was also hefty crystal malt and pine hops, but it comes out a little more messy and muddled than one would hope. Nice than itís hoppier than most of this style, but it still didnít work for me.

Earthy hop and dry cracker/biscuit malt aroma. A touch of citrus and floral hops as well. Pours hazy light golden with a decent frothy head. The flavor is dry and full of crackers. Light grainy sweetness. Crisp lightly hopped finish. Some citrus and earth. Lively carbonation.

On tap at the Portland airport. Dull gold in color. Aroma of fruit, bread and sweet malt. Not much hop presence in the noise. Flavor was the same with some minerally elements and a bit of earthy and citrus hops. Ok.

Tap at the NW brewpub. This was the first beer I drank in PDX, so I know it wasnít palate fatigue. This beer was actually quite nice, full flavored, and drinkable. A PDX version of Bud I guess.
