In short: A sticky resinous flowery dark IPA. Brutal strangely and perfumy. Meh.
How: Bottle 22oz. Consumed fresh soon after receiving it from mcberko, thanks a lot Matt.
The look: Cloudy red-golden body topped by very large beige head with good retention and leaving lots of lacings on the glass.
In long: Nose is flowery-perfumy hops with notes of hibiscus and scented pine-tree. Taste has a some cookies maltiness, some hard-candies, too much alcohol presence for an 8.6% brew, a bit of caramel, resinous flowers, bitter orange peels, pine-tree and then more pine-tree sap. The highly resinous sticky bitterness is over the top. After taste is sticky resinous and flower juice. A resinous perfumy sensation from start to finish. This beer is just too much for its own good. Another beer that can do well in a tasting because it is intense, but drinking a full bomber was another story. I don’t care that it’s organic, I didn’t like it, and I don’t have anything against people who are into organic and bio stuff, but suffice to say if you have a favorite type of granola bar our lifestyles are probably very different.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours slightly hazy dark copper with a frothy 3 finger beige head. Lots of resin in the aroma. Full bodied with decent carbonation. Flavor is roast malt and resin. Pretty hoppy - but not all that harshly bitter. Finishes reasonably balanced. Malt/hop - no one seems to dominate. Pretty tasty.

Bomber. Pours a light burgundy and amber color with substantial beige foam. Aroma is hops resin, citrus, toffee and toasted malts. The taste starts out strong on the herbal hops, pine and orange rind flavors along with some caramel, bready malts and grapefruit toward the back end. Mouthfeel is mildly creamy with medium carbonation and a malty, citrus peel finish. Overall, nice balance between the citrusy hops notes and caramel malt flavors.

Bottle:   Heavy amber, moderate to large frothy sandy head, sticky lacing.   Big caramel, piney, citrusy, pithy nose.   Certainly a hoppy/citrusy Amber/Red Ale on the tongue.   100 IBUs, really?   As it warms the sweet pithy aspects come out.   Not as big and sticky as I thought it was going to be.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Finishes without any luster or flair.   Comes across as a 1½ Red.   Clean, very pithy, some candied citrus peel, but doesn’t comes across with enough malt body to carry it higher for me.   Still good tho, but I expected a bit more for this one.

On tap @ Chuck’s 85th. Pours cloudy burnt amber with thin head. Aroma is caramel malts and floral hops. Taste is dark slightly charred sweet caramel malt with mild piney hops. A nice imperial red but nothing special.

Very sweet malty aroma. A slight bitter smell. Maybe a bit of alcohol. The appearance is a medium red slightly hazy with a light off white head. This beer made made me fall on my ass. Bitter and sweet wow. Let me take another drink. I taste no chocolate maybe a slight biscut flaver in the aftertaste. The alcoholy taste is there in the aftertaste. Its an imperial red for sure. Not a bad brew for lauralwood but drinkers beweare

Beautiful ruby tinted amber with a generous head & ample lacing. Deep aromatics showing green, fresh hops and light caramel. Medium to full bodied, and in perfect balance. Plenty of sweeter malts, but loads of hops to keep it from being cloying. Amazing length.
