Bottle pour at home. Floral and hop aroma, pretty much the same in the taste. Very solid imp red.

22 oz bottle bought from Roths Sunnyslope Market in S.Salem OR $5.99 Cloudy amber coloured beer with a large creamy and frothy cream coloured head Nice malty creamy hoppy aroma..very mixed but still discernible. Balanced taste too the hops, the dark roasted malts..treacle, toffee..medium roast coffee. Nice. Nice thick and creamy mouth feel. Good strong ale..well balanced

Appearance: slightly opaque, deep reddish orange with a big, frothy/bubbly tan head that hung around quite a while, throwing off all kinds of fizzy aroma bombs. Aroma: big hops up front, with lots of citrus (esp grapefruit and blood orange), some catty/dank notes, and even some pine; under that is some candied fruit and brown bread, almost like a fruitcake. Taste: all the hops from the aroma come out, with the addition of some floral characteristics as well; there’s a firm malt backbone of caramel (werther’s originals) and brown sugar and toast. Finish: pretty dry, with a lingering piney/citrus bitterness that wins out, just barely, over the malt. Notes: Felt more like an IPA than an ASA; call it a Red IPA (someone call the BJCP!). Pretty decent, and the good malt backbone helped the whole thing hold up well. Good with a plate of tacquitos. Bottle from Sarah for Beersmas 2014.

On tap. A : Clearish red with a creme colored head. N: Pineapple, mango, biscuit, pine, earth, damp leaves, some bark. T: Very bitter with a modicum of sweetness. M: Medium, resinous body, big alcohol, biting carbonation. O: An unrestrained Impy red. Fruity, but I still feel it lacks some complexity and mouthfeel to push me over the edge in love.

Bomber. Pours a bright somewhat cloudy reddish color with a medium white head. A nice big fruity hop resin nose. Massive sweet fruity base combines with huge sticky sweet hops, resin, oranges, some caramel. Wonderful surprise. Sticky lingering hop bitterness. Awesome. Dry yeasty finish.

On tap at the brewpub. Aroma: malty, spicy, and resinous, with hints of dry leaves and black pepper. Taste/Palate: crisp throughout; starts sweet, and finishes with a long and strong bitterness. Fantastic beer!

Poured from tap at the SE Portland Pub. Aroma is very hoppy and has hints of sweet flowers. Flavor is very "in your face hoppy". Has a high alcohol profile and can taste that at first but it mellowed out as the beer warmed. Has a piney, grassy, floral flavor to it. Finish is bitter yet creamy.

In short: A sticky resinous flowery dark IPA. Brutal strangely and perfumy. Meh.
How: Bottle 22oz. Consumed fresh soon after receiving it from mcberko, thanks a lot Matt.
The look: Cloudy red-golden body topped by very large beige head with good retention and leaving lots of lacings on the glass.
In long: Nose is flowery-perfumy hops with notes of hibiscus and scented pine-tree. Taste has a some cookies maltiness, some hard-candies, too much alcohol presence for an 8.6% brew, a bit of caramel, resinous flowers, bitter orange peels, pine-tree and then more pine-tree sap. The highly resinous sticky bitterness is over the top. After taste is sticky resinous and flower juice. A resinous perfumy sensation from start to finish. This beer is just too much for its own good. Another beer that can do well in a tasting because it is intense, but drinking a full bomber was another story. I don’t care that it’s organic, I didn’t like it, and I don’t have anything against people who are into organic and bio stuff, but suffice to say if you have a favorite type of granola bar our lifestyles are probably very different.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours slightly hazy dark copper with a frothy 3 finger beige head. Lots of resin in the aroma. Full bodied with decent carbonation. Flavor is roast malt and resin. Pretty hoppy - but not all that harshly bitter. Finishes reasonably balanced. Malt/hop - no one seems to dominate. Pretty tasty.

Bomber. Pours a light burgundy and amber color with substantial beige foam. Aroma is hops resin, citrus, toffee and toasted malts. The taste starts out strong on the herbal hops, pine and orange rind flavors along with some caramel, bready malts and grapefruit toward the back end. Mouthfeel is mildly creamy with medium carbonation and a malty, citrus peel finish. Overall, nice balance between the citrusy hops notes and caramel malt flavors.
