Beardface (977), Eugene, Oregon, USA Dec 10, 2008 22 oz bomber. Dark amber pour with reddish tinge. Slight malt smell but mostly no aroma detected. Sweet caramel flavor with a bigger malt than hop profile but a fairly solid balance. Pretty heavily carbonated and with a slight and slightly offputting yeasty flavor. Pretty much your average run of the mill amber ale. anders37 (4516), Malmö, Sweden Dec 4, 2008 Draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear reddish amber color with a small off-white head. Has a malty hoppy caramel aroma. Sweetish malty hoppy caramel flavor. Has a slightly sweetish malty caramel finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste. ajm (903), Los Angeles, California, USA Nov 20, 2008 Tap at Concordia Ale. Great color and nice aroma of malt, sugar, light hop and apple. A fine specimen of red - not IPA or Amber. distinctly sweet and balanced. darn1207 (529), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Sep 26, 2008 tap. sampler from Laurelwood Public House in Portland. gold orange color. piney hops and light malts on the aroma. tingly piney hop taste. citrus bitter finish. pretty good. boFNjackson (1233), Portland, Oregon, USA Sep 13, 2008 Tap... Poured red with a hint orange and a beige head. Aroma of earthy, leafy malt and hops. Well carbonated and a lot more hops in the initial flavor than amber ales (which is nice). Other sweet, candy-like sugar-malt notes before the dry, hoppy finish. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Aug 13, 2008 Updated: Nov 7, 2009

Aromas of toasted caramel and some citrus. Tastes of caramel, citrus, and a little bready. stchloe (473), Portland, Oregon, USA Aug 1, 2008 Even more wonderful organic beers. This time a red with a significant roasted barley taste. All in all one of the better red ales.
