Orangey-amber colour. Caramelly nose with lemony accents. Chewy caramel flavours with earthy accents and moderate bitterness. harrisoni (6703), Ashford, Kent, England Oct 29, 2006 On tap at Pilsener Room and also Laurelwood, Portland. My favourite beer of my 2 week travels of the PNW. I came here with no love of amber ales, and this not only changed my mind, but completely won me over. Copper/amber with lasting beige head. Lovely hop. Good creamy feel in mouth with malts. Nice hop finish. Makes you want to drink more. It was so good, I bought the T shirt. I drank more of this than anything else I tried. hopdog (5534), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 8, 2008 12oz bottle. Poured a deeper and cloudy amberish color with an averaged sized of white head. Lots of small suspended floaters. Aromas of toasted caramel and some citrus. Tastes of caramel, citrus, and a little bready. duff (5474), Surrey, Greater London, England Jun 14, 2004 Tap@Laurelwood. tasty fro a red/amber. Some nuttyness, with a hoppy medium bitter finish, pretty tasty and uncompliacted. bu11zeye (5430), Frisco, Texas, USA May 10, 2009 (22oz bottle, courtesy of blutt59) Pours an amber body with a small white head. Aroma of caramel, cherry, and raisins. Flavor of caramel, cherry, toasted malt, and hops (earthy). CaptainCougar (5379), Rockville, Maryland, USA Jun 21, 2008 Pours a transparent orange bronze with a clingy, spotty-lacing white head. Aroma of lightly sweet toasty caramel malt and a fairly fresh citrusy hoppiness. Body starts about average for the style with a decent toasty sweetness and resiny hop balance before a crisp, bittersweet finish. Very drinkable and smooth.
