Commercial Description:
Green Elephant is green because it's made from organic malts, and elephant because of the Amarillo, Ahtanum and organic Cascade hops. It's medium-bodied with a subtle malt underpining and an explosive hop flavor and bitterness. Dang, the elephant is hoppy.

Pours medium dark amber, forming small off white foamy head. Aroma was faint, hops, pines, tropical fruits. Flavour was of grassy tones with slight pine resin character with a slight caramel tinge. A little dry in the end, as the hoppiness overwhelms ( in a good way ). Lacing is lovely, overall a well crafted IPA. Would like to try the on tap version as well. Came from 22 oz bomber.

Bomber poured a clear copper with a lasting ivory head. Aromas of earthiness, pine, carmel, mango, orange and a hint of grapefruit. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp with a slightly dry finish. Flavors of pine, carmel, orange, light earthiness, light mango and a hint of grapefruit with a crisp lingering moderatly bitter finish.

22oz bottle. Pours a dark hazy apricot color with small white head. Fresh aroma of citrus hops mixed with peaches and grapefruit. The taste was the same with light mango flavos. As this beer warmed it took on a strange burnt rubber character. This brew had nice sweetness and maly profile, but the weird burnt rubber flavor killed it for me...still good though.

Tangy citrus and pine in the nose, it smells like some centennials. Nice amber in color with a nice thick head. Nice combination of lemony hops, light pine with a solid malt backbone. Plenty of sweetness for those hops to ride on. Rich, chewy and creamy. Very nice.

Strong hops in the aroma offer lots of pine and citrus and are perhaps just a bit over the top. Copper coloured body is topped by a decent fine bubbled white head that lasts well. Toasted malts are somewhat overwhelmed by all the hop flavour. Bitterness is strong but not overpowering. Medium body with moderate soft bubbled carbonation. Bottle sampled at a tasting chez MartinT after the qualifying session for Grand Prix 2008.

22oz bottle pours rusty orange in color with a light haze. Fresh, green herb (mint, basil, thyme) scented hop nose, along with some pillowy, earthy but light yeast notes. Resinous, earthy, nutty hop flavor; some caramel and chewy maple malt flavors, but largely light to medium in body, nearly thin. Okay overall, could be better.

Bomber at 6.9%. Copper amber color with a thin beige head. Aromas seem floral, citrus and resin. Medium body with prickly carbonation. Flavor is roasted malt with a lot of hop. Finish is almost balanced but hops rule. Really good drink.
