A rich aroma with sweet malt and a bit of chocolate. A nice medium/mild body with a nice rich malt flavor. a mild finish with a earthy/biscuity flavor that doesn’t stay too long.

Draught at the Brewpub. Shiny black. Roasty, lightly smoky nose. Roasty, slightly smoky flavor, with coffee, smoked salmon, dark chocolate. Light sweetness, dry finish, mildly bitter and roasty. Easy drinking, good balance, dry.

UPDATED: MAY 28, 2012 Pours from the tap dark with thin tan head. Aroma of chocolate and tottered is subdued. Medium bodied ale with lots of chocolate. Very dry with roasted malt bitterness. Finishes dry and bitter as well.

Draft at Tap House Bellevue. Pours jet black with a gigantically towering dark tan head. Big toasty roasty chocolatey nose. Creamy medium body with lively carb, a little dense and silky. Toast, roast, chocolate, and delicious on the mid-palate. Long sweet malty finish. Very nice porter. Laurelwood keeps knockin’ ’em outta the park.
