1 Pint, 6 FL OZ. (2008) Solid black body with a light chocolate aroma. There is minimal head and rather high carbonation for a stout. The flavor is complex, a bit bitter, with a hint of alcohol. The beer is a bit weak on the tongue.

Smooth pour reveals a creamy raisiny rummy head atop a dark body. Muted nose with slight chocolate notes popping out. All the usual flavour suspects are present and accounted for here: chocolate, malts, roasted barley; with an especially dry finish. As a Porter, it gets the job done; as a truly outstanding brew, she’s not there yet. Not one of the greats, but pretty damn good.

A better than average West Coast Porter. Coffee, toffee, semi-sweet chocolate, a nice tang from the fruity, bitter hops.

Bottle tasted with cmblado.Has a nice toffee-chocolate aroma and flavor. Some hop flavor but not overpowering as with some porters. Nice rounding out with a balanced finish. Worth having again.

Tasted somewhere along my trip through the States.
Black colored brew. Bittersweet, roasted malty aroma of coffee and chocolate. Nice bittersweetness, roasted, chocolate. Nice.
