Stats are 15 Plato Original Gravity. 6.7% ABV. IBUs around 70. Color wise itís on the orange end of the IPA spectrum thanks to a shot of dark crystal malt- which also helped create a nice malt backbone for this hoppy beer. We kind of went back to our roots on this one and used hefty doses of Cascade and Centennial hops. The beer was also dry hopped with Centennials for an extra aroma kick.

Bottle from Malt & Vine. Pours a lightly hazy amber with a one finger clingy beige head. Aromas of floral and pine. Medium body with foamy carbonation. Flavor is bready caramel, floral hop, but this is overcome by a lot of resin. High IBU. Itís a little astringent. Itís hard to get at the malt, but itís hiding below all the hop. Truly a NW hop bomb. Course having a honey mead just before this may be coloring my opinion. :)

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured clear dark amber color with an average to large frothy off-white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy earthy hop aroma. Medium to full body with a oily slick texture with lively carbonation. Moderate to heavy bittersweet flavor with a moderate to heavy bittersweet finish of medium to long duration. Very good brew and expectations where exceeded.

22 oz. bottle from kenb consumed 3/10/10. Pours a clear amber color with a medium sized, but disappearing white head. The aroma had floral and piney hops straight from the Pacific Northwest over top of some caramel dipped bready malts. The flavor had sweet citrus and floral hops, caramel malts, toasted bread, and earthy bitterness. The floral notes lend to a mildly soapy sensation. The finish is dry with decent bitterness.

22. Pours a crystal clear medium amber with a light, frothy platinum blond head. Rich piney nose with hints of grapefruit. Creamy medium body with firm carb showing, very bracing and refreshing and not at all overbearing. Biscuit, a bit of toast, and then plenty of bitter orange peel, pine, and a nice resiny finish. Takes the old British IPA marmalade on toast principle and ratchets it up a bit for the American drinker, using American ingredients. Crisp, clean, and very easy to drink.

Bottle:   Deep caramel, dirty amber hues, sediment, moderate foamy sand colored head, sticky lacing.   Hoppy aroma, slight cheese and old citrus peel.   Moderate bitterness on the tongue, pale malts, a little stale.   Otherwise standard.   Mild sweetness.   Wished this one was a little sweeter.   Otherwise pretty straight forward.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Finishes quick, soft bitterness lingers.   Yeah, could use a little more citrus type sweetness.   Not as good as the Oakshire I had the other night.   Tiz okay, average.

Grassy, floral, and light citrus hops in the nose. Soft bready/grainy malts as well. Pours hazy golden orange with a thin head and some sticky lacing. Grassy and floral hops up front. Some sweeter fruity malts. Citrusy finish. A little bit juicy.

From a 22 oz bottle, this pours a hazy amber with medium sized off-white head. Nose of floral and pine hops. Medium body with good carbonation and lively mouthfeel, but yet smooth. Flavor is caramel malts, floral and pine hops and lots of bitterness. Long dry bitter finish. A classic Northwest hop monster, and very well done.

Bottle... Poured a amberish/orange with a thick, frothy, off-white head. Floral, hop aroma with a touch of sweet, malted grains. Thick palate, big carbonation. A very floral IPA, low bitterness, like drinking beer candy. A solid balance and a citrus fruit, and earthy grass flavor.

22oz bottle. Great solid western ipa. Awesome hoppy nose with beautiful pine with some citrus. Well balanced with tight malting, very smooth. A bit of a bitter end. Quintessential, rad.
