CaptKirk (175), Hephzibah, Georgia, USA Oct 20, 2005 Dark brown color with a coffee, nutty smell. A little dry for my taste, but a clean smooth finish sip after sip. I had to have two pints to make sure.

Sweetish roasted malty chocolate and coffee flavor. Has a slightly sweetish roasted malty chocolate finish. darn1207 (344), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Sep 26, 2008 tap. sampler from Laurelwood Public House. I was well into a day of drinking while exploring portland and all I have written down for this one is: tingly mettallic and thin... but I gave it a 7 (or 3.5 by ratebeer scale). so I won’t screw up the average by putting this in, but would need to try again for a proper rate. portland is a dangerous place for a beer junkie. stchloe (253), Portland, Oregon, USA Sep 26, 2008 A great stout, huge body and mouth. Creamy strong head, dark as night with chocolate malts and barley aroma. Smells and taste like grain.
