Had on tap at the NW Kearney location. Pitch black with very nice substantial tan & khaki ringed head. Mostly a mild coffee aroma with some sweet sugar scents, hints of powdered cocoa and cream. Big coffee flavor with a dose of sweet and mild bitterness make this a big malty coffee treat without becoming cloying. Excellent medium-heavy mouthfeel with strong-moderate carbonation that keeps it from being too sticky. Very drinkable, not acidic.

Growler with a few days’ age on it. Thanks, Kim! This was amazing stuff. Black with no head or lace (could be a bit different fresh of course). Nice roasty nose of coffee and chocolate and prunishness. Creamy body on the high side of medium with soft carb there to round things out. The mid-palate fills up with lovely chocolate, coffee, and dark pitted tree fruit. Mild, brief finish or roast and coffee. Good stuff.

Tap @ their NW public house... Poured black with literally no head, slight amber highlights at the surface of the beer. Coffee beans and roasted malt on the nose. Really smooth and mild carbonation. This was virtually carbonated, chilled, black coffee. Coffee-nut aftertaste. Really delicious and refreshing. The only thing that was holding it back for me was the lack of head. But no biggie.

On tap at the NE 51st & Sandy location. WOW. Finally a beer worth getting a Coffee flavor isn’t over bearing considering the strong coffee aroma. A very well balanced beer. 3 days in a growler hasn’t harmed this beer at all. Delicious. Should be year round beer, not just a seasonal. Laurelwood has a great growler punch card program so this growler was only $1. Get it while it lasts. Perfect score for a perfect beer.

Wow, this is a really incredible coffee stout, very fresh ground taste, with a nice roast and great overall smoothness. Very nice pour with a pure black body and a brown head. Aroma is so pure coffee, reminds me of the sharp coffee notes of Bells Java Stout.
