Zwicklemania 2011 – Laurelwood Brewing
Brown in color clear with a thin tan head. Big chocolate malt aroma. Dark malts roasty with a light hint of vanilla. This was tasty and easy drinking. This was like a dark chocolate malt with the beer finish. Very good.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A name that belies appearances as this "porter" is just a deep amber ringed with cream. Mild vanilla beand and malt nose leads to a sip full of vanilla and amber malt. Easy drinking and with a pleasant flavor.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft at KLCC Microbrew Fest. Dark brown pour with a very small tan head. Aroma is pure chocolate and vanilla, light roastiness. The flavor and palate are completely...nestle quik chocolate milk? Seriously, that was the only thing I could think of while drinking this, it tasted exactly like that childhood staple! I found it hard to take this one seriously after that.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft @ KLCC Microbrew Festival: Pours a deep brown with a smaller tan head. Aromatic with sweet chocolate and roasty malts. Flavor reminds me of a vanilla mocha. Subtle vanilla compliments the chocolatey and coffee notes. Finished nice with a little bittersweet cocoa. Very good.
