3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark brown pour with an off-white head. Aroma is spicy and sweet with a dessert-like appeal. Flavor is nice and floral hoppy/sweet/spicy but a tad boring. OK, but I’m seriously burned out on holiday/winter warmer beers with heavy spices.

One of many similar winter ales, much like a brown ale with a touch of spice.

Bottle. Pours a rich robust brown much like a porter. Notes of spice, chocolate and caramel on the nose. Flavor is rich and wonderfully balance. Flavor highlights of berry, toffee, chocolate and grapefruit. Nice head retention. Medium body with a real pleasant finish that has me begging for more. A real winter treat!

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Inviting aroma of christmas trees waft above this cola/crimson elixir with off white head. Rich and meaty, this bad boy gives you full throttle cherries, caramel, cocoa and IPA level hops. WOW! This is outstanding, and certainly my kind of beer. Rich and creamy mouthfeel with a new taste sensation in every swirl and swallow. Tremendous!

Pours a very dark red, almost black, with a tall khaki head. Very rich malts, depth of flavors changes between burnt chocolate, cherry, caramel. Finish is toasty and has a nutty presence. Citrus hops provide spicy balance to the finish wtih a light cocoa aftertaste.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Deep red in color, nice sticky tan head. Nutty, earthy, light roast and toffee aroma. Earthy and slightly gritty. Seems like it may be spiced. Not too complex flavor. Too bitter.
