COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This strong ale is as rich and complex as it is drinkable. A blend of six malts and four hops creates an ale with deep carmel character, spicy hop flavor and a dry roasty finish. It’s spelled differently because it’s Vonderful.

(Draught, Horse Brass Pub) Pours a deep mahogany body with a small off-white head. Aroma of breadiness, roastiness, and some notes of fruit. Flavor of malt, mild hops, and spices

Nice and smooth, with some greatly subdued spiciness I wish would have been a little more present. Slightly couldy deep amber appearance with a little frothy head. Aroma is pleasing with a little bit of hoppiness and somewhat fruity. The flavor as some nice chocolate tones and a rich malt character. Enjoyable, I would order this again.

Tap at Horsebrass. Cleaer deep mahogany colored. Impressive dense off-white head fades slowly to a ring and leaves moderate lacing behind. Strange aroma which has me thinking of V-8 or tomato juice, very vegetal. Medium bodied with ample carbonation that doesn’t overwhelm. Flavor also reminds me of tomato. Perhaps a touch thin on the palate. Decent, perhaps a poorly washed glass?

2004/5 version. Dark amber color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is bread, malt and sweet. A medium to full bodied strong ale. Malts are fruity and sweet. Lots of bready malts. Hops are slightly spicy and citrusy. Nice balance. Chocolate and roasty from the middle to the finish. Smooth taste. Nice malty finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Dark brown, thin brown head. Caramel and molasses aroma. Rich dark malt and some plumminess. PNW hoppiness in the finish. Spicy and herbal character with loads of bitterness. Great balance of flavours.

This is a great beer from a great brewer. Well balanced, nice hop and malt combination. The color is nice. Good for cozying up with the one you love.

Alright, but not anything special. Not my favorite winter warmer, but decent. Distinctive house taste with this beer. A solid brewery, by the way. Stumbled upon this place while waiting for a concert to start.
