COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This strong ale is as rich and complex as it is drinkable. A blend of six malts and four hops creates an ale with deep carmel character, spicy hop flavor and a dry roasty finish. It’s spelled differently because it’s Vonderful.

2004/5 version. Dark amber color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is bread, malt and sweet. A medium to full bodied strong ale. Malts are fruity and sweet. Lots of bready malts. Hops are slightly spicy and citrusy. Nice balance. Chocolate and roasty from the middle to the finish. Smooth taste. Nice malty finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Strong in terms of flavor, not alcohol content. It tastes like it’s 80 proof, but it’s only a gentle 6.4%.

Bottle. Ruby-brown beer with a dark cream colored head. Malt and sweet caramel aroma with light pine. Pine and malt flavor with toffee and light darker malts. Medium bodied. Pine and darker malts linger with light toffee.

Bomber. Dark reddish brown colored with a thin layer of sudsy tan head. Lots of caramel, biscuits and figs in the aroma with a bit of currant and nutty malts at the end. Roasted caramel malt and spiced bread dominate the flavor along with some cocoa, prune and raisin notes in the background. Also some mild herbal hops bitterness in the finish. The body is relatively smooth with plenty of carbonation to round it out. Well-made Winter Warmer with a nice Pacific Northwest style hops bite to it.

Traded bottle. Pours a darker chestnut color with a very thin, bubbly, khaki head and a little lacing. Relatively light flavor that trends towards fruity, almost perfumey at times. Flavor is hop bitterness but missing some of the malt balance. Agree that there is some spice from the hops where they seem a little green. Fine.

22 oz bottle from the brewery - Greats you with a nice, warm dark copper glow and a slightly off-white head. Hoppy aroma, but not too bitter on the flavor. This is a very good one. Makes me want to cozy up in front of a fire after a day of shredding the mountain.

22 oz Bomber f/Secret Santa-Cloudy copper pour w/a slight tan head & good lacing which lasted thru the brew.Roasted malt aroma. Roasted malt flavor w/traces of caramel & nuts, but also has a nice floral hop bite on the finish. Smooth easy drinking Winter Warmer w/a long malty finish. Nice brew, not overly complex, but enjoyable.
