22 oz bomber. Delicious highly hopped IPA. Very symbolic of NW IPAs, and one that blows away most of the rest of the world’s IPA. Recommended.

Bottle:   Amber, slight haze, large frothy off-white head, very nice lacing.   Fresh hoppy nose, slight aspect of candied citrus peel.   Smells good!   Hoppy on the tongue, slight citrus rind, mild sweetness.   Smooth, good amount of bitterness that doesn’t go overboard, with a smidgen of citrus peel that rounds out the back.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Did I mention smooth?   Not heavy, but for what it is its very easy to put back.   I will say that probably one of the better IPAs to come out of Oregon.   Good stuff!

Bottle, with many thanks to Curly!!! Thanks Jason! Pours clear orange, thin off-white head doesn’t stick around to chat, lacing is spotty also. Nose is just fantastic! MASSIVE tangerine, apricot and grapefruit nose, all fruit here, very little pine/spruce, just lush tropical and citrus fruits. Reminds me quite strikingly of Russian River’s Blind Pig. Flavours are raunchy hops, big citrus/grapefruit, nice sticky earthy, almost grassy hops here... Finish is mandarin orange syrup, grapefruit, spicy orange blossom, very tingly hop bitterness in the finish. I dug this.

Pours a hazy orange with a large white head. The aroma has mango, apricot, pineapple, pine and cream. The flavor has apricot, pineapple, rose petal, and an earthy finish. Solid brew.

Pours amber with a thin white head. great aroma. the hops are strong with this one. citrus and grapefruit with earthy vergital notes. flavour is very interesting. lots of citrus fruit. slightly grassy. bitter and slightly. sour. but not from the yeast. sourness from the hops. this is a fuckin cool IPA.

On tap at PDX airport. Pours amber with small tan head. Darker than expected. Aroma is fruity hops, oily mouthfeel. 80 ibus makes it a great session ipa. Delicious fruit and citrus in this one.

UPDATED: JUN 26, 2011 A pretty typical NW IPA. Not big on aroma but makes up for it in taste. Lots of citrus and floral hops. well balanced with sweetness. Love the 7.5% abv. All in all a good IPA.

Big thanks to DiabolikDUB for hooking me up with some of this. A: Pours a nice, somewhat hazy orange-apricot with a nice white head with some staying power. S: Plenty of citrus rind along with some pine and floral hops in the background. A bit of caramel malt lends some balance in the background. T: Nice and citrusy and a bit bitter, but not at all overwhelming so. I’d say it’s toward the tamer end of West Coast IPAs. The citrus characteristics lend themselves well to the bitterness, while still having caramel flavors in the background, although none of them are particularly sweet. M: Medium body, good carbonation, and a nice dryness. D: Very drinkable. Great sessionable (at least in terms of flavor, that is) IPA. Always love liking new things from breweries I hadn’t heard much of in the past. Thanks again, Tom. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 05-23-2010

Yum....gorgeous amber color with a big head for an IPA, still very miniscule. Amazing aromatics, starts floral and rapidly moves on to honey with a bit of chimayo chile powder. Terrific balance...brings the hops but rounds it out with some malty sweetness AND body. It’s got the grapefruit but this isn’t sucking on a yellow pith, it’s the ripe pink flesh with a hit of rind as you scrape it out of a split one at the breakfast table. Very pleasantly suprised with this one and favorite against Diamond Knot IPA and Rogue Yellow Snow in a small tasting.
