On tap @ Beer Junction. Pours clear pale orange with thin head. Aroma is grapefruit hops. Taste is solid caramel malt base with a ton of hop flavor; grapefruit, pine, and floral. Nice alcohol to pull it all together. Truly one if the best balanced IPAs around. Glad to see this back. Gearhead is a weak sibling to this.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. I am surprised, the bottling date is 5 months ago and this is still brite and crisp. No oxidized hops. Big citrusy and pine hop notes throughout, the malts are bready and slightly sweet. This is a solid IPA.

Bottle thanks to Brian! Pours crystal clear orange, medium off-white head, dissipates slowly, nice lacing. Aroma of caramel and pine is pretty standard for an IPA that has lost its distinctiveness due to age. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, floral, pine, not harsh. Medium body. After it was gone I noticed a 4/24/14 date on the bottle. Certainly not old by any means, but I am guessing this one needs to be super fresh to be appreciated.

It has a very distinct IPA flavor. Like nothing I’ve had before. Good alcohol content as well.

On tap at Bullies in Philly. Nicely down. Has lots of hops in the aroma and flavor over a sweet malt base.

Serving: from bottle--purchased at Full Throttle Bottles. Aroma: moderate pine hop. Appearance: average-sized, frothy, off-white, initial head with good lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Clear, light-amber body. Taste: lightly bitter, grapefruit initial taste and moderately bitter finish with average duration. Palate: light-to-medium bodied with dry texture and soft carbonation. Overall: very good.

From a bomber into an imperial pint. Pours a very pretty glowing orange. Plenty of sticky white head. Mouthfeel is light but sappy. Good deal of carb. Taste is slightly like grapefruit pith with pine melted in. Strawberry lemon grass herb and pine sol predominate. Good IPA but not great. Could have been the freshness but who knows????? Very good value at $6.50 a bomber in PA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle from CANBIF 2014. Clear vibrant golden pour with a nice light tan head that fades to a thin film. Semi-fresh citrus, some pine, floral, bit of lemon rind, moderate body and carbonation, becomes dry, slightly bitter, balanced, crisp finish, very enjoyable.

Blind tasting with the S&G Tasting group. THX to Mathieu87! Only wrote down some small words and the score. Rather unknown IPA, but surprised most people on the tasting. Winner!
