Draft. A hazy amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet and very grassy. The flavor is also sweet and very grassy - is it Amarillo? The finish is dry grassy and very bitter. I like it.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head. Has a malty hoppy pine needles aroma with some hints of grapefruit. Sweetish malty hoppy pine flavor. Has a long malty hoppy bitter finish with a slightly bitter aftertaste.

THE stout tasting Pt1. Nice first course, thanks Bruce. Almost clear gold beer. Little off white head. Light palate, mild carbonation. A little tangerine hop, mild pine. Medium bitterness in the finish and mild marmalade. Not bad.

Bottle from Haggen’s Grocery, Burlington, marked 8-13-14 (less than one month old?)
Cloudy copper to light amber color with generous compact head. Nice aroma, mild, hoppy, a bit animal. Lean malt and caramel flavor, with very moderate residual sweetness; strong hopping, very resiny, citrusy, zesty; a bit caramellish in the final.
Fresh and excellent, almost a Double IPA.

Bottle at the First Big Stout Tasting, London - thanks to Bruce for this change-up. Pours clear, vibrant gold with a tight, white cream head. Bright citrus nose, lots of tangerine and orange, some hints of alcohol. Medium sweet flavor, some toasted white bread, light pine needles. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly resinous finish, plenty of fruity citrus. Fresh and very tasty.

Tap at Laurelwood on Sandy. PDX, 25/05/13. Hazed light orange amber with a thin off white head. Nose is bitter orange, pine bite, hops, light grapefruit. Taste carries a good dose of pine, orange pith, bitter grapefruit, dank hops. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finish with a good pine bite and hop bitterness. Decent piney IPA.

Bottled 0,65l (bottle bought in Portland)
Slightly hazy orange color, small white head. Very piney, flowery, maybe a bit vegetably hoppy aroma. Medium-bodied. Very resiny and piney, almost woody hoppyness with some citrus in the flavor. Classic double IPA, drinkability is good although flavor is not extraoridinary.

A: The pour is a nice copper-ish color with a big white head and lots of streaks of white lacing. S: The nose is wonderfully fresh and intensely hopped. Lots of grapefruit, pine, and floral aromas that work well together. I don’t note any malt at all, just the way I like my IPAs. T: A really well balanced bitterness that compliments the grapefruit, tangerine, and floral flavors. This is just so smooth in terms of the flavor profile. M: The body is medium with a crisp carbonation and a really refreshing feel overall. D: I would gladly take another of these any day. A really great IPA (bordering on a DIPA).

Hazy light amber. The aroma is loaded with tropical fruits from clementines to mango to papaya. Rich bitterness, but with a kiss of sweet malt, and more incredible depths of tropical fruits, now including lychee. The best part is, after this stunning display it finishes with a more resiny, woody punch...I love a beer with a crescendo.
