4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle received in trade from BeerKangaroo, thanks for the opportunity.
My wife found this in the back of the fridge tonight apparently it got misplaced.
Pours a slightly hazy medium golden color with a decent sized off white head that dissipates quickly. The aroma on this is citrus, pine, resin, green onion, a hint of dank and a solid bready caramel. Flavor is a bit sweet with bready caramel but certainly has plenty of hop flavor to go around. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet resinous mouthfeel. Great ipa tha almost got away.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Have enjoyed multiple times in many formats. When fresh, this is one of the very best IPA’s from the PNW. This shows dank, piney aromatics from the first pour. Medium bodied, this is quite easy to enjoy. Thick lacing coats the glass. A mix of resin & bright citrus fruit hit the palate & bring you right back to the glass for more. Lingering bitterness from the ample hops. Excellent.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a hazy amber in color with white lacing head. More floral hop aromas with faint citrus and piney notes mixed in with a sweetness from the malt. Very piney and floral flavor that fades into citrus notes and finishes with a dry bitter pine notes.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: FEB 15, 2014 The pour is a hazy burnt orange amber color that leaves the same colored body with a decent looking transparency to it indicating some light carbonation that is seen rising. The head is about a finger’s worth and dies at a nice pace leaving a nice foamy clingy lacing left in the wake.
The smell has a mostly sweet and bitter grapefruit, pine, floral scents through the hops, malts do present themselves but it really takes a while
The taste has a sweet citrus and pine with some nice floral notes; bright sweet citrus aftertaste and a dry citrus yet piney finish.
The palate has a light to medium styled body with a somewhat sessionable quality that leaves a nice bitter harshness that pounds my mouth and tongue like a good AIPA should.
Overall, wow, what a nice AIPA by Laurelwood, though this is my first one from Laurelwood, I’m excited that they sent this up here and am hoping they’ll send more.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Unknown bottle date: boo!
A: Pours a copper ale with excellent clarity (some floaties) and a <single finger fine white foam dissipates over the coarse of a couple minutes. Sheets of white lace.
S: Plenty of malt on this (surprised actually), grapefruit, citrus, hints of pine. Good nose.
T: Sweet, floral, citrus, bitter with decent middle palate pine and resin tones. Fairly standard IPA for the PNW, not bad.
M: Medium body with medium carbonation. Leaves palate free from reminders of it’s presence.
D: Very drinkable IPA, recently has been one of my favorites. It’s not a standout IPA, but totally enjoyable.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On DRAFT at Laurelwood in Sellwood; nose and initial taste is strong in juniper / piney hops; strong but not overly bitter; very very tasty. Just "had" to pick up a bomber to transport back to Chicago.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pine spruce pineapple tangerine. Big hop profile that lasts and sticks to your teeth. Pots a deep orange. White head. Tropical fruit aromas and flavors. Nice and very hop forward. I can smell this thing from across the room.
