4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
On tap at Laurelwood on 52nd and Sandy (not the pizza place).
Light golden-orange color with big off-white head that laces well.
Intense fruity, almost tropical aroma. Grapefruit, pineapple, mandarin, tangerine and biscuits & honey. Some red apple.
Soft creamy bubbles and low carbonation make this medium bodied brew smooth and very drinkable.
Sweet lightly toasted biscuity malt is bursting with juicy hop flavors. Big pink grapefruit impression, orange, tangerine and piney resin on a lingering bitter finish without being offensively bitter. Hugely drinkable. Probably the best IPA I found in Portland.

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
From a mason jar 1 day old from the brewery...big thanks to Jeff! Hazy dark golden amber with big head. Freaking wonderful nug & citrus aroma. Did someone just smoke a j, or is that just my beer? The hops are perfect; citrus, pine and nugs. Just enough lightly sweet caramel malts bring it all together and keeps the bitterness in check well. At 7.5%, itís got just enough of everything to really shine. Love it. Not sure what you could do to improve much on this...from a hop-heads perspective anyways.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Drank from a 22 oz. bottle. Poured really nice, with a nice head. Had a nice citrusy, hoppy smell. The ale was a a brown, copperish color. Began mild, but after a few drinks the hoppiness came in. A very smooth beer, that I enjoyed.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Yum....gorgeous amber color with a big head for an IPA, still very miniscule. Amazing aromatics, starts floral and rapidly moves on to honey with a bit of chimayo chile powder. Terrific balance...brings the hops but rounds it out with some malty sweetness AND body. Itís got the grapefruit but this isnít sucking on a yellow pith, itís the ripe pink flesh with a hit of rind as you scrape it out of a split one at the breakfast table. Very pleasantly suprised with this one and favorite against Diamond Knot IPA and Rogue Yellow Snow in a small tasting.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Love this IPA. Big citrus pineapple nose, juicy and tempting, standing just short of a resin monster. Sunny orange gold, thick white head. Maybe itís a 1.5 IPA. Big body, concentrated pineapple and apricot nectar base, scrubbed down from these aggressive and intense hop additions....though not in the sensory overloading way of a double, just a bright appreciation within the style and flirts with the edge. Beautifully made.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Hazy light amber. The aroma is loaded with tropical fruits from clementines to mango to papaya. Rich bitterness, but with a kiss of sweet malt, and more incredible depths of tropical fruits, now including lychee. The best part is, after this stunning display it finishes with a more resiny, woody punch...I love a beer with a crescendo.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On draft at the brewpub. Now this is how I like them. Pours a cloudy gold with a fat white head and good lacing. Nose of floral, citrus, and pine hops is powerful and enticing and is like a tropical garden. Mouthfeel is oily and slick. Flavor is bitter and so is the finish. This is a wonderful IPA, one of the best I have ever had. I would like to see this one in bottles so I could put in my beer cellar.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
This is a way underrated IPA. On my first sip, I was literally in mid sentence as I lifted the glass to my lips, and cut off what I was saying as the aroma assaulted my nose with a citrusy hop bouquet. After a few moments of "drinking" it with my nose, I thoroughly enjoyed quaffing this beer. I immediately set an appointment for further tasting at Laurelwoodís brew pub. Only complaint: maybe a touch too carbonated--would love to try it on cask.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at Laurelwood Public House. Pours mostly clear bubbly orange amber with a nice lingering off-white head. Aroma is mostly citrus hops, along with roses, pine, and caramel. Taste is much the same, with a very nice caramel malt balance. Smooth with a citrus hop finish.
