Picked this up last night at Brewforia Meridian... Paid too much. Poured tonight into my HotD goblet with an off white head atop a slightly hazy orange brew. Nose shows big citrus but a very pronounced maltiness that really mutes the hops. Flavor mirrors the nose.. IMO, this is really not very good... pithy citrus hoppiness and a thick malt profile that doesn’t jive with the brew. Body seems a bit thick... but I am thinking this could be an old bottle from Brewforia, wouldn’t surprise me.

On tap poured into a sampler glass. Tropical, citrus orange, and toast with marmalade aromas are noted. The pour is a clear, effervescent, oily gold color topped by a soft, medium ring of dense white head with a filmy, floating island. Lots of lace is left on the glass. The taste is a medium sweet and medium / medium light bitter blend. The smooth, light bodied beer is accompanied by a light, fuzzy carbonation. Tropical fruits start the mouthfeel and bitter rinds finish it. Bread crust comes forth in the aftertaste with a slightly burnt and slightly waxy characeter, as well as hints of citrus.

12 oz bottle, bottled about two and a half months ago--hopefully still good. Aroma is perfumy, floral, light grapefruit. Pours hazy orange with a medium off-white head with good retention; laces a little. Taste is thankfully better than the aroma let on; it’s average IPA territory, though, bittersweet with a light tang. I think I need a fresher bottle.

From the tap poured a straw color with a fair amount of head. Light hoppy flavor with a quick finish.

Trade with Hannont! Thanks a lot. Pours dark golden with a small creamy head and lacings. Peach and pine. Fresh hops with a biscuity like malt. Its dry, bitter and crispy! Really tasty!

"bigger floral aroma and bigger citrus flavor than expected. this was a pleasant surprise, a nice fragrant and flavorful ipa that was very obviously fresh. well balanced but leaning towards the hops. good enough to want more from this brewer."

Bottle acquired in a trade with a friend in the Northwest. Consumed at home and poured into a goblet. It pours a little hazy copper with a nice head. The aroma is a mild citrus with hints of resin and tropical fruit. The taste is quite balanced with the main properties of the hops evidently coming from late in the boil and dry-hopping. The finish is clean. Great beer. I wish we could get this out here on the East Coast.

Bottle from Haggen’s Grocery, Burlington, marked 8-13-14 (less than one month old?)
Cloudy copper to light amber color with generous compact head. Nice aroma, mild, hoppy, a bit animal. Lean malt and caramel flavor, with very moderate residual sweetness; strong hopping, very resiny, citrusy, zesty; a bit caramellish in the final.
Fresh and excellent, almost a Double IPA.

Apricot, nectarine, resiny/grapefruit rind bitterness, unripe mango, honey/crackery malt base. Nice balance of fruity hops, malt sweetness, and bitterness.

this is a damn good IPA. Immediate stone fruits and citrus taste. Balanced and deep. The only thing this could use is a better bouquet, but otherwise a top west coast IPA!!
