Bottle from Beer Planet, Brussels, bb 19.11.11, this shop seems to often sell old bottles
Dark brown color, cloudy, with generous creamy head. The aroma of caramel shows evident signs of oxidization. It has a quite good caramel and malt flavor, with moderate sweetness, and hints of oxidization that are not too disturbing; the bitterness level is quite low.
Pleasant drink, well suitable for cheese. Reminds me of the old style Belgian beers from the 90’s.
Probably at its peak of maturation.

(Bottled) Hazy darkish brown with a small but firm head. Aroma of alcohol, vanilla and berries. Flavor is sweetish-caramely with berries and light Belgian yeastiness. Quite full body with low CO2. A too sweet and straightforward, but otherwise well made Belgian strong.

33cl bottle, BB 30/06/2013.

Very good & dense, cream-coloured head over clear amber-brown beer with a mossy sheen. Chocolate, solvent, pine, bit herbal nose. Alcoholic-sweet, chocolate flavour; slightly bitterish-almondy, strengthening with warming, and ending on crude, leafy bitterness. After some more warming up, a welcome hint at incense. Medium bodied, some alcoholwarming, and very creamy texture of the head, being pretty stable. Very run-of-the-mill Walloon dark ale.
