COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Even in 1895, Porter was brewed from the mountain spring in Löbau, and it was a beloved drink in the Lausitz. With our Lausitzer Porter, we successfully continue this brewing tradition. Across the land, the legendarily sweet taste of this unique dark beer has found friends among connoisseurs of dark brews.

The malt beer of porters - I like it. A gentle sweetness that gradually goes over to a more dry porter. The aftertaste is not revolutionary but it is different and a beer worth tasting.

50cl bottle from some random Spätkauf in Berlin. Malty aroma with notes of dark fruits, caramel and hints of dark berries and chocolate. Medium sweet with moderate flavour intensity and a light bitterness. Quite drinkable, but hardly interesting. Fair enough.

Weak aroma, Brown, clear, too sweet, too thin, long overwhelming sweet finish, not a porter at all or really terrible one

Bottle - Clear reddish brown colour, small, diminishing bubbly beige head. Sweet toffee nose with some sugar, candy and toasted malts. Tase is too sweet with a lot of caramel, sugar and maple syrup. Medium body, moderate carbonation, syrupy texture andunbalanced sweet finish. Not so bad, but its not a porter.

Aromat z pocz?tku delikatnie czekoladowy z up?ywem czasu przeradza si? w gotowanego kalafiora. W smaku dzieje si? podobnie. Bardzo s?odko.

Sugary aroma, malty, caramel, maple syrup and nuts. Pours semitransparent dark brown liquid with a small, soapy head that dissolves quickly. Sweet taste, flavour of sugar and sugary caramel malt. Medium body with a smooth, kind of syrupy texture and a sweet finish. Overall way too sweet and bland in my opinion, tastes like a malt beer.

Good porters are not everywhere to find in Germany and I was looking forward to a new treat. Oh boy. Pours very dark brown and fizzy into the bottle. Aroma is malty, but more of a pils malt and not the dark roasted scents you might expect. Very faintly something sweet, like cherry, or candy. The first sip overwhelms with a cloying sweetness. Tastes like a cola beer mix. Looked right away at the ingredients on the bottle, and sure enough, sugar. Not an instant disqualifier, but this sweet? Made a fair go through the first half of the bottle, but nothing was developing here. Just malty, syrup sweet mess on an oily palate. Drainpour and back to the cellar for something better.

Bottle. Pours cola-brown with large white head. Aroma of yeast and some boiled vegetables. Very dense body for such a light beer. Taste is very sweet, like cola, lots of unfermented sugars. A very lousy beer and definitely not a porter. Seems as it wasn’t properly fermented until the end. To be avoided.
