Even in 1895, Porter was brewed from the mountain spring in Löbau, and it was a beloved drink in the Lausitz. With our Lausitzer Porter, we successfully continue this brewing tradition. Across the land, the legendarily sweet taste of this unique dark beer has found friends among connoisseurs of dark brews.

Bottle 50cl. Clear , dark brown color, small frothy beige head, recedes quickly, no layer, light lacing; sweet malty aroma, brown sugar, caramel, cola, basement; taste heavy sweet, sticky; medium body, thin texture, sticky mouthfeel, soft carbonation; sugary sweetness in the finish. Not a porter nor a schwarzes but a malzbier.

Poors dark black. Head is very weak and gone in a second. Smell is very weak and has some disturbing taste. Very malty aroma. Beer is very very sweet. Makes even more thirsty. Too much sweetness and too less taste.

Dark brown to black in color with a thin beige hed and medium carbonation. Aroma is quite sweet and malty with some brown sugar and caramel. Tastes sweet and malty and little else, A bit weak and thin in taste and lacks hop and bitterness.

Douberd (2304) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - JUL 22, 2014
Bottl, 500ml, poured into a big Guinness glass at home, ABV 4.4% Brown colour on the body, small and thin tan head, with okay retention, leaving light lacing on the glass. Aroma of malts, caramel, hay. Wow, way too sweet! Very malty taste, dirty hay, sugar, molasses, sticky caramel. Medium thick body, low carbonation, very sticky on the palate. What a failure, definitely not a porter and is a bad one even for a schwarzbier.

Oelbas (180) - DENMARK - JUL 21, 2014

Countbeer (4483) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - JUN 3, 2014
Bottle: Served in a shaker: Deep amber brown with a lively ashy creamy head on top. Aromas of manure, cardboard, toast, some ash, light hint of malts and some herbs. Flavours of bread, brown sugars, malts, some woody bitters, yeast, sweetness is to high! Aftertaste is sweet, malty, bready and just a teeny tiny bit of bitterness... Low carbo, light creamy mouthfeel, low bodied and a light creamy sweet texture. Way too sweet. And the sweetness is overpowers everything!
