COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Even in 1895, Porter was brewed from the mountain spring in Löbau, and it was a beloved drink in the Lausitz. With our Lausitzer Porter, we successfully continue this brewing tradition. Across the land, the legendarily sweet taste of this unique dark beer has found friends among connoisseurs of dark brews.

Good god. They shouldn’t be allowed to call this a Porter. Barely a hint of beer, only sugar, sugar and more sugar. Way to sweet. There’s a little hint of roasted malts, but you really have to look for it. Possible applications: Cooking chili, as a cheap surrogate for Bacardi Breezers, or as a soft drink for functional alcoholics who’d rather have a cola right now.

Barva: tmavá, neprůhledná. Pěna: středně hustá, rychle opadávající. Vůně: nevýrazná sladová. Chuť: extrémně sladké pivo, vyšší říz, sladové tělo, v pozadí jemné karamelové tóny, chmelová hořkost nepostřehnutelná. Velice špatný porter, spíše limonáda.

Bottle. Pours hazy dark brown with airy light tan head. Clear aroma of malt and fruit. Very sweet flavour of molasses with some few malty notes. Unexpected, rather metallic aftertaste. Nothing particularly enjoyable, due to the overwhelming, somewhat artificial sweetness. Didn’t finish the bottle.

Dark pour. Small tan head. Little lacing. Roasted malt aroma. Overly sweet roasted malt. A slight sourness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle 50cl. Small white hesd, leaves a layer. Dark brown color. Aroma is chocolate cookies and syrup. Flavour is chocolate and feels foamy for the palate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPad

Bottle @ Home. Pours dark brown with a offwhite head. Aroma of little roasted malt, little wet fruit, wet paper. Flavor is malts, caramel, sweet fruity, dark cherry, sugar. Thin to medium body, soft carbonation. 130313

Bottle. Dark brown with a tan head. Reeks of an old ash tray with hints of liquorice. The taste is pretty simple: artificial sweetener that dominates all and hides a touch of roasted notes. Add the metallic finish and the result is awful.

Smells like dirt and tastes like fizzy vomit if you mixed it with cherry cola.

drunk this from bottle, but it was quite dark lager colored. On nose is dominant bon-bon candy, fruity aroma. Like fruit beer, not porter at all. as fruit beer it was pleasantly sweet, carbonated a lot, hopped very light. But dark malt presence is sensible in dry finish. so as porter-terrible, as fruit beer-nice.

500 ml bottle, probably from Voldby Křbmandsgĺrd, Denmark. ABV is 4.4%. Dark brown colour, moderate off-white to beige head. Sweetish aroma of malt sugar and unfermented wort, also notes of bread and dust. Very sweet, sugary and malty flavour, reminiscent of a Danish dark "hvidtřl", but despite the sweetness, the mouthfeel is fairly thin. No hops detected. Not awful, though - just not something I’ll buy again.

Bottle shared with McTapps. Way below average as this one seems to be just water and sugar. Awful stuff.
