(on bottle)A firm a nice looking Dboock for the cold days in november. Dark coppercolor and a white head. has a distinct sent of spicyness; juniper, balck cardemomme, somewhere around that. Exelent carbonation and and stunning rich finish of malt and alcohol.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a clear, warm nutty brown with a tall, dense, creamy and almost cappuchinoish head. Full, sweet aroma of roasted malt. Very full-bodied with roasted malts, overripe fruit and even a touch of licorice. Dry, lightly hoppy finish. Lovely indeed. 251206

Deep dark amber colored, cloudy appearance. Rich aroma, vinous aroma with nuts and chocolate, mild alcohol also present, rich aroma indeed. Medium to full bodied. Flavor is more dry-nutty with still sweet chocolate, aftertaste turns to vinous note with still nuts and mild alcohol, somehow cardboardy note, still excellent one.

Bottle. Head was average creamy like with an off-white foamy glow. Slight lacing was to be found. Aroma was lovely with notes of heavy rye bread, grain, toasted, molasses, and caramel and dry fruit. Medium to full bodied with a flat carbonation. Even do this beer is heavily sweet, it somehow feels slightly dry in the texture. Finish was sweet and ligers in mouth for a long time. Excellent doublebock!

Ungstrup (34376) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - APR 12, 2007
Bottled. A deep red beer with a huge tan head. The aroma is quite sweet with notes of prunes, over ripe fruits, caramel, and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of over ripe fruit, caramel, nuts, wood, and alcohol, very complex and nice - like I like a Doppelbock. The end is sweet, alcoholic and dry.

Pours dee red amber with big fizzy beige head. Aroma is full of caramel and plums. Taste is initially vinious, then sweet from caramel, then turns dry and peppery - actually with a finishing touch of bitterness.
