Clear golden coloured, small white head, weak malty nose (almost neutral). Sweet malty, light herbal hoppy and touch of fruits. Bitterish finish. Drinkable but nothing special.

0,5 l bottle. After Lav Tamno, hereís yet another new beer from Carlsberg Serbia, and if someone thought that a macro - Dunkel could be a turning point in Serbian brewing industry, the guys from Čelarevo proved him wrong - they released another Pale Lager to the, oh so interesting, Serbian beer market. Upon first sip, this golden ("Zlatni" means golden in Serbian) colored lager tastes actually quite interesting and different than the usual Lav, strong malty aromas mixed with a touch of grain, dominate the overall impression. But then, as you continue drinking, these aromas seem to vanish and, eventually, the only thing remaining is the awful and bland metallic aftertaste. A far as I know, this beer is a product of a contest in which a group of ordinary people was selected to choose the taste for a new Lav beer, based on their personal likings. If so, it seems to me that the future of brewing in Serbia may be grimmer than I thought.

Bottle my friends brought from Belgrade (thanks Morko and Sara!)
Poured a golden-yellow colour. Bit cheesy malty nose, light, vaguely sweet. Perfumey cabbagey (love these notes) ok light taste, some crude hop, dry, slightly weak lemony notes. Unimpressive but ok.

0.5 l bottle from lutonm, thanks! It poured golden body with medium sized head. Aroma was sweetish malty, slightly lemony and quite pleasant. Flavor on the other hand was quite weak, and although its quality honey malt is evident, ugly bitterness shows up, especially towards the end, while finish itself was slightly bitterish metallic with quite much of alcohol present. If only didnít have this note, it would have been quite fine.

Credit to as for getting this up first. Found in the local discount drinks store quite suddenly, in the pretty new íLaví bottles. As he said, great to see that there are new local beers coming out (and not just repackaged) but shame they didnít push. This seems to me like another ípremiumí version of the local lager like so many other balkan breweries do. Compared to íregularí this pours a darker golden color, heavier appearance and with a stronger aroma. Flavor is more pungent which is good up front but quickly becomes too much. Winier and more metallic than normal Lav. Not necessarily an improvement, theyíre pushing the envelope of the quality of their ingredients already. At this abv and price I really donít see the point.. but local breweries continue to go down this road, so there probably is a market. bummer.

500ml bottle, Mega Market, Serbia. Nice head, medium body, feeling Co2, excellent bottle, good price BUT oily fish smell, some citrus and rotten tomato aroma with yeastly aftertaste. It should be a good beer but isnít.
