It was a real ale! I was surprised! Well not really since its got that silly name. Overall, not bad the aroma was lacking and the taste slightly mild.

Fragrance of malt with a hint of brown sugar/ molasses. Pours an amber with a none lasting white head and no lacing. The taste is malty with a grainy finish. Not heavy on the bitter aspect. Medium body with medium carbonation. Overall, enjoyable but may not be the best example of an ESB. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Rather too foamy frothed out. Light lemony aroma. Citrus bitterness in the rather bland flavour. Thin finish

Pours a cloudy orange with a fluffy ecru head. Crisp, clean flavors of caramel, grassy hops, even a bit of apple. Very earthy and, well, organic. It doesn’t exactly have big, bold flavors, but it’s not bad. At 5% ABV, this would be a very nice lawn mower beer. Or a gateway into craft beer for the uninitiated.

Hazy yellow pour with soapy off white head. Notes of wet dog, old honey, and clover.

Bronze body, decent head. Light crystal malt graininess. Muted hop and a bit metallic odor. Rather bland body. It has a light grain body and very muted hoppyness. Slightly tannic cereal grain finish, perhaps a touch of cardboard and soap.

Whole Foods, Bowery 11.2oz ($3): Pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is toffee, slight lemony citrus, and some doughy like stuff. Taste is slightly sour, with a sustained bitterness throughout. Pretty easy to drink, but I think the body is actually lacking. I think it could have been a bit heavier and better. Seems like a half-assed beer... thought the lager was better.

Pours a brilliant deep gold with a thick, luxurious white head. Little aroma - just a touch of toasty malt. slightly nutty flavor. Hops only come to play in the dry, somewhat bitter finish. Very drinkable if, perhaps, forgettable.

Flaske kjøpt på Sainsburys, Angel. Delt med Rune på rom 224 Premier Inn Blackfriars 6 Nov 12. En gusher! Stakkars teppe. Gyldenbrun. Lavt skum. Svakt krydret aroma. Smaken tung frukt. Undertone av krydder. Litt vassen.

Bottle. Cloudy amber pour with white head that quickly disappeared. Spice, apple, hop, bread, medicine and a bit of grape. A nice medium body ale with nice creamy bubbles and smooth finish. Really nice.

330ml bottle from Sainsburys, shared with Finn. Gushing bottle. Cloudy golden, a few spots to the glassware. Aroma of oily hops and grass. Half-bitter oranges in flavour. Refreshing citrus fruits to the finish. Half-dry. Average (hotel room, London 06.11.2012)
