COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We have collected and grown old traditional hop varieties and selected the best combination of these for their aroma, and balanced them with additional organically grown hops, in this, our first beer. Although we farm under both biodynamic and organic standards, we go much further in our quest to produce the very best hops and barley. Our micro-biology lab continuously tests the soils, adding compost and compost teas so that the biology in the soil has the right proportions of beneficial bacteria and fungi for the hops and barley to be at their best and most flavoursome. This creates the deep flavours of the beer.

Bottle. Pale gold colour, little head. Aroma is a little metalic and grainy. The taste is quite biscuity and soft rather than crisp. An unusual tasting beer, not bad, not refreshing either.

Golden in color, clear with a thin head. Light malts and hops flavor this was just to washed down for my liking.

Clean tasting, malt and grain, not so much hop. Decent if slightly boring beer, unlike the label on the bottle.

Bottle at home from Waitrose. Crystal clear yellow with a short lived frothy white head. Floral hop aroma, sweet oilser malt aroma. some corn. Chalky carbonation mid dry finish. Flavour Bland vaguely malty. Its a decent lager. A lot better than mass produced muck.

Bottle: Pale golden/yellow pour with a thin ring of white head. Lacing with decent retention. Aroma is a malty, lager yeast, and light florals. Just a little bit of a dirty dandelion vibe. Flavor is strong; lager malt and yeast, along with florals and earhty herbals. The hops arrive more in the tail and more as the glass warms, but overall this is dominated by the lager malt. Not something I lean towards on a regular basis...

Jan 2013 - cold bottle. Christmas present. A bit different from your average lager - a rich honey/licorice flavour in the start which softens quickly but endures into the aftertaste. This is actually pretty good. Isn’t at all sharp or drying in the mouth like some lagers. Very drinkable and pleasant.

Clear gold with a short white head. Slight sour grain malt aroma. Taste is watery lager with a slight sour/bitter grassiness. Clean and crisp, just not a particularly inviting flavour.

Don’t like this sort of lager, thin and uninteresting. Smells a bit skanky. Nothing much going for it.
