3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours dark brown/black with a thin bubbly tan head. Aroma has roastiness and cocoa...touch of booziness...extremely faint vanilla and whiskey. Flavor has dark roastiness/burnt biteerness, a bit of dark chocolate...very roasty...a hint of oak and a faint hint of vanilla...but for the most part...where is the whiskey? Mouthfeel is light/medium...a bit thin...with a very roasty and burnt/bitter dark chocolate finish. This beer barely has any BB notes...a disappointment.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma- roasted notes, licorice, some vanilla, slight oak
Appearance- mostly black with a white head
Taste- typical porter qualities, some fruitiness in the middle, slight oak on the finish
Palate- mostly thin, not on par with style
Overall- Where are the barrel aging qualities? I didnít get a hint of bourbon on the aroma or taste. This just didnít do it for me.
