3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
I first tried this gem at Pinocchio’s in Media, PA, but just had the ultimate beer run. A neighbor’s parents were visiting NJ from Erie, PA this 4th of July weekend, and they delivered! This IPA has a low ABV, but it packs a huge hop punch. It reminds me of the Mad Hatter IPA in terms of its citrus flavor, but it does have an earthiness that is similar to Victory’s Headwaters. BTW, my neighbor’s parents may be switching from (yak) LaBatt Blue to Dulachan IPA. Amazing that they only live a couple of miles from the brewery. Cheers!

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pine, biscuit and a medicinal character on the nose. Appearance is a hazy yellow gold with a white head. Flavor is piney, phenolic, with notes of biscuit and caramel. Mouthfeel is medium with a medium carbonation. Overall, this beer is infected. Not good at all.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at Rams Head. Pour is cloudy yellow lots of head. It has quite a bit of pine, hop, fruit but also some ginger up front or maybe it’s just pungent spice. Nice stuff.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Body is a murky hold with a tan/brown edge to it and carries little head. Aromas are pretty bland... A bit of grain, metal, lemon and soap. Flavor is similarly drab. Some silo dust and skunky/herbal hops that have a slightly citrus edge to them if I am feeling generous. It’s a grainy beer with a grainy finish and wouldn’t qualify as an IPA if I were in control of the universe.
