Dulachan is an in-your-face/front-and-center/West-Coast-style American IPA. Brewed with Pale, CaraVienna and Biscuit malts and hopped (and dry hopped) to 70 IBU’s with Simcoe, Citra, Amarillo & Columbus. At only 5.6%ABV, this beer packs a huge hop flavor and aroma without a lot of bite from the bitterness and alcohol. Named after the Irish ’Grim Reaper’, this beer will impress and astound!

Bottle. Body is a murky hold with a tan/brown edge to it and carries little head. Aromas are pretty bland... A bit of grain, metal, lemon and soap. Flavor is similarly drab. Some silo dust and skunky/herbal hops that have a slightly citrus edge to them if I am feeling generous. It’s a grainy beer with a grainy finish and wouldn’t qualify as an IPA if I were in control of the universe.

Bottle from Capone’s. Sunny orange body, mild haze, quarter inch white collar. Aromas of pine, fleshy citrus, malty backbone. Biscuity, bready, mild hop sweetness. Resinous and earthy. Medium bitterness. This is ok.

[Bottle (12oz)] Pours a hazy dark gold with a large lasting frothy white head and minimal lacing. Nice hop aroma, citrusy and floral, along with sweet malt in the back. Flavour’s also nice and also hoppy and fruit. Decent bitter finish. Average to medium bodied. Quite enjoyable.

$3 bottle from vintage. Looks slight haze on a palish beer. Smell like dull hops. Experience is big dull hop ipa happy mouth coating viscous bitter bigot. Bitchy bastard thick soapy nasty terribly on style ipa. Seems to be far from brightly & fresh. Whew. Terribly on style to the extreme, border on double. Ruined my taste buds fer a while. Yea, imperial level taste with ipa level alky. However, make no mistake, this is not a session by any standard fer sure. It’s juts a big in yer face offensive IPA. Boorishly rude; if you like an ipa with chewing green grapefruit rind bitter rubbery hops, you got it, what else can be said? Yes, quite an impact. Did I say wew or was it whew?

Bottle. Pours clear copper, thin off white head. Very enjoyable floral hop aroma, also some citrus and sweet malts. Medium sweet taste. Medium-light body, definitely a dry abrupt finish that is mildly bitter. Extremely sessionable IPA without sacrificing flavor. Excellent everyday brew.

Draught: This one pours a clear golden color. There was about a finger of an off white head. It has a good hop nose, mainly pine and citrus. A touch astringent. The taste is good. A bit bitter. A decent beer.

12oz bottle from Xroads. Poured a clear rust body with a smaller tight foamy off white head. Aroma is rust, citrus, peach, wet bread, tropical fruit skins. Medium body, slightly creamy with softer to avergae carbonation. Flavor of bread crusts, grapefruit rinds, peach skin, grains and fruity esters. Solid but nothing great.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Pours golden, clear with a small white head but lots of carbonation; spotty lacing all over the glass. Aroma of hops, malts and some grain. Taste is quite bitter and hoppy, some malts to compensate, some yeast and some grain in there too. not bad at all great IPA; extremely enjoyable.
