Draft at Bocktown Robinson. Pours a hazy red color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of big citrus hops and mild toffee hops. The taste is herbal, resin, citrus hops and toffee malts. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness. Just a bit off-balance.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Sparrow-Downtown, 12/12/12

Aroma: The nose has caramel notes, earth, some citrus/grapefruit, and a little resin
Appearance: It pours a dark reddish-brown color with a small beige head, and some light drippy lace
Flavor: Similar to the nose and balanced, with a medium sweetness and a light-medium bitterness
Palate: It has a creamy feel, a medium body, average carbonation, and a clean, mildly dry finish
Overall Impression: Even though it is 12/12/12, Iím not drinking any Vertical Epics today, but thatíll happen later (Vertical Epic Weekend!). As for this beer, this is plenty solid. Donít let the score fool you, 20 is the style? It is better then that! It is not nearly as dry as the explanation would have lead me to believe, but it has a nice balance and drinks well. Very solid stuff.

22 oz. Bottle. A great combo of hop and red! Medium dark brown pour, muddy looking, with a white ring. Deep caramel sweet malt scent to a hop note. Medium bodied, silky texture, sticky on the tongue, with a fizzy finish. Bitter hop up front in the taste, subtle caramel note, malt, and a rounded bitter in the finish. Delicious!

Pours a cloudy reddish color with an off-white head. Aroma of caramel, resin, pine, and cereal. Sweet malt flavor of caramel, with a bitter almost sour back end with resin and ceral. Touch of pine. Think bubbly body with excellent lacing.
