BIG. HOPPY. RED. Irish beer gone incognito! Our IRA has a beautiful burnt orange/red color with the unmistakable aroma and flavor of American hops. This beer is brewed to be dry with full flavor of Columbus, Cascade & Centennial hops.

22 oz. Bottle. A great combo of hop and red! Medium dark brown pour, muddy looking, with a white ring. Deep caramel sweet malt scent to a hop note. Medium bodied, silky texture, sticky on the tongue, with a fizzy finish. Bitter hop up front in the taste, subtle caramel note, malt, and a rounded bitter in the finish. Delicious!

Pours a cloudy reddish color with an off-white head. Aroma of caramel, resin, pine, and cereal. Sweet malt flavor of caramel, with a bitter almost sour back end with resin and ceral. Touch of pine. Think bubbly body with excellent lacing.

22 oz bomber from my Blue Dog V-day lunch. Poured a very nice clear deep red body with a small bit of effervescence rising from the center and an average sized dense foamy light beige head that leaves nice lace and settled to a nice slick that lasts the duration of the beer. Aroma started off with a big dose of caramel malts and some light toffee sweetness along with some orange juice. The sweetness fades however and a dry sourness creeps in with a slight touch of balsamic reduction. The flavor follows the aroma to a T. Body is fuller with lively carbonation and no real bitterness on the end. Drinkable but I wish the sourness didn’t creep in.

On tap at the bocktown. Reddish brown beer. Has a mild ipa aroma. First taste is kick you in the teeth IPA. Big oily and leathery. Bold dull knife edge. Barely any co2 on this monster. Way too much rototilling bitterness for this lager lover. On style for an ipa, but its an american strong ale, heheh. If you like IPA, better seek this out.

Bomber from Frank Smith’s. Pours thick turbid dull ruby brownish, with 3-finger fluffy, creamy, well retained head. Nose is resiny hops, caramel malt, fruit. Tastes rich, extremely resiny hoppy, with a big caramel malt backbone and a substantial vinous fruit and peppery flavor. This one is stellar.
