A beer for the ladies, crazies and conniseuers. A floral, hoppy and fruity French style saison. Saisons are completely undescribable so we won’t even try. Our interpretation has five types of grain, Lavery Estate hops and three different strains of yeast! The yeast is the star of this show - fruity, spicy, fragrant, alluring and simply delicious. This beer ends dry and crisp and bottled conditioned with Brettanomyces Clausenii, a wild yeast that adds fruity, tart and mildly funky aromas and flavors to ale. This beer is great young but will change considerably with time.

Bottle thanks to Graeme. Pours a clear yellow with large frothy white head that lasts leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is citrus, brett, yeast, banana. Medium mouthfeel with nice brett, citrus, spice, light dryness. Good.

Transfer from BA review on 2-21-12 - Had on tap and served in a 12 oz chalice glass Appearance – Served a very hazy yellow color with a slight tint of orange mixed in. The head upon serving was very light and white and faded relatively fast to give way to very little lacing. Smell – Lot of aroma are present here my friends. Fruit aromas of citrus- lemon, orange, and grapefruit, are quite strong. There are other fruits as well however with light hints of tart apple and pear. These aromas mix with a bit of biscuit aroma as well as a good helping of funk from the yeast and some more floral aromas as well. Taste – A slightly more sour lemon and grapefruit flavor are the first detected. Some of the biscuitiness works its way in toward the middle of the taste with the hay and some of the more yeasty funky flavors. Towards the end there is a tartness of grapefruit and some pepper that begins to come into play. Up until this point the flavor is quite enjoyable, but at the end the flavors don’t meld to well and leave a tart lemon-pepper flavor on the tongue that lingers just a bit too much. Mouthfeel – A medium body with a slightly above average carbonation level. The added carbonation suits this lighter yet complex beer quite well. Overall – Not the best saison out there in my opinion, but none the less not bad either. It is rather dry and crisp with some nice fruity and funky characteristics, but seems to lack a harmony in the taste with some of the flavors seeming to battle one another at times.

Bottle from brewery. Pours slightly hazy gold with fizzy white head. Aroma is biscuit and cracker malts, floral notes, light brett, light spice, and some farmhouse yeast esters. Flavor is chewy malts, crisp citrus esters, faint hops, farmhouse yeast esters, and faint sour notes; dry, oak-like finish. Light body and medium carbonation.

Bottle sample at Natifest 2013. Pours a hazy yellow orange color with a thin whitish head. The aroma and flavor have tart citrus, mildly spicy, wheat grass, some brett funkiness, orange. The flavors get kind of soft which I’m sure is influenced by the big beers I tasted around this.

Received this in a trade with jdb288. The first beer I opened from his first ever trade. Poured a little cold at 45 F. This beer has a big fluffy white head and the beer is quite hazy (after the bottle being rolled) and kind of lemonade gold yellow. A fairly complex aroma with yeast, fruit, pale malts, and just a hint of funk. The first sip brings lemon and earth. Just a little spice. This is generally a gentle beer with nothing huge. Some wild yeast is tasted. Bret, maybe? Light hops and very light bitterness. The lemon stays dominant.

Bottle shared by Dr. Moll. The beer is transparent and yellow with a thin white head. The aroma is straight apple juice. This beer is pretty much bland with some apple juice notes. Unexciting. Green apples, apple skins. A one-dimensional beer. Drive finish and lacking complexity on the palate. Meh...
